In response to the complaint filed by *** * *** *** *** *** *** Germantown, MD ***:In November of 2016, *** *** hired Home Tech to replace the shingle roof, bay window metal roof, and gutters as approved by their insurance company. Upon the scheduling for the shingle
roof, both *** and *** *** were insistent that *** be on site during the installation and that Home Tech should work around their schedule. After several weeks of back and forth between the *** and the Home Tech representative (MrH***), a date was finally agreed upon for the installation for the roof. Upon the scheduled installation day, weather did not permit the work to be done. Home Tech scheduled the work for the next available installation date, but the *** were not happy and insisted the installation be postponed until they could be home while simultaneously complaining that the installation was taking too long to get started. This is the point where MrH*** grew aggravated and was very firm with *** ***. Eventually, in February, Home Tech was able to do the roof installation after several postponements. During the installation, *** *** met MrH*** and insisted that the weather was not right for the installation and after a lengthy debate with MrH***, agreed that the install should continue. In the months following, Home Tech had requested a color for the gutters at the residence and received several delays and changes in the color for the gutters from ***. Once the gutter color had been finalized, and the crew scheduled, *** *** refused the installation, citing that he either wanted all of the gutters done, or none at all, and sent the crew away. Scheduling after that point was difficult and eventually an agreement was reached to deduct the gutters and metal roof from the invoice to the *** as they may hire another company to do the work. The ***' insurance company asked HomeTech to provide an estimate for the roof, minus the aforementioned services, so that they may process the ***' claim accordingly and Home Tech did so.Upon finalizing the invoice, *** *** told MrH*** that he still wanted the gutters and metal roof done, despite their previous agreement. MrJonathan K*** had spoken to the *** shortly afterwards and agreed to meet with them to collect final payment for the roof in order to close their account. During said meeting, the *** were very difficult to work with and kept insisting that Home Tech come back to replace their metal roof and gutters. They refused to submit payment for the work performed and MrKeller grew frustrated with the consistent postponement and failure to pay and he left the meeting without reaching a resolution.The *** have since repeatedly called Home Tech office and asked to speak to a manager. When MrH***, the manager on duty, would answer the *** would promptly hang up.Home Tech has tried repeatedly to bring a resolution to this matter. The *** have proven difficult to work with; often changing their minds about the work to be done and breaking verbal agreements. All attempts to resolve this matter have been blocked by the *** which brings us to our current situation which has escalated to a legal matter.The *** have been advised by our lawyers at *** Law Group via regular and certified mail that this is now a legal matter.
