Review: In the process of cleaning up after a messy paint job, the painter scratched my double pained door. I brought to his attention, called his supervisor as well. He came to our home saw the damage. He, [redacted], assured me that he would fix or replace the door. After a month of trying to track him down, I called the main number and spoke to our sales person, who is project manager, he assure me that he would get it taken care of ie replace the glass. It's been 3 months.Desired Settlement: We want our door to look like it did previously, without the etching from the dull razor blade that the painter used to clean up the paint splatter.

Response:

At the completion of the work, Home Trimwork's paint foreman had discussed this issue with [redacted]. [redacted] who agreed to take a $150 credit from their final balance in compensation for the mentioned scratches. The $150 covers for the replacement of the damaged glass. The client understood that they would have to call a local glass company to complete this repair. We believed this would be the best approach for the repair and Home Trimwork is not longer liable for the mentioned damage.

Review: On February 2, 2013 my wife and I signed a contract with [redacted], their sales manager for my district. Part of that was for him to physically come to the home to measure our dimensions. This was never performed. He looked at pictures and guessed the dimensions. The work was scheduled to start 3/2/13. My wife and I are required to be there in order for it to start. The work has been delayed 6 days now. [redacted] said they were going to start work yesterday, 3/7/13. The company delivered the materials, but did not start work. This project was scheduled to be completed prior to other projects in our home. The 6 day delay is excessive and is now requiring us move other work. Additionally, my wife has taken a day off of work in order to be there to meet the workers. [redacted] consistently fails to return phone calls, makes promises that he does not deliver on, and was not truthful when explaining the process to us. We just want the work completed so that we can move on with the other projects in our home. The reviews of the company, including the Revdex.com membership, is why we chose to go with Home Trimwork.

Delays may have been acceptable if they were communicated to us honestly.Desired Settlement: Complete the job as soon as practicable.
