[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed Administratively Resolved] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The service was not completedThe workers who came to the house appeared to be subcontractors of subcontractors of subcontractors of Home VisionsOne of them seemed to have some roofer's skills, but they did not know what needed to be done and were completely unprepared for the repairsThey asked us if Home Visions had left any extra of the original shingles, which sure enough, they had notMy understanding is that the leak was at the area where the roof of the deck enclosure and wall of the house meetThat was where the worker started attempting to fix the problemBut instead of doing so, he just covered the siding with extra pieces of metal, which also needed to be painted with the matching colorThen we were told that they did not do the painting, then the color did not match, and then they did not have time because they needed to move on to the next jobThe inside damage from the leak that we had discussed was not doneWe were told by Home Visions that the roof needed to be fixed first, and then the inside damage could be addressed afterwardsLater, Home Visions said that they do not even have anyone to do the inside repairsIf their specialty is the roof, and they are so unprofessional in repairing the roof, I cannot even imagine what mess they would create if we had pressed the issue of the inside wall damage repairI am totally shocked that nobody from Home Visions even called to check if the so-called "service call" was completed, let alone to come by to check on the job being doneI understand that Home Visions is not the only remodeling company that uses subcontractors, but it seems that their subcontractors subcontract others and nobody is responsible for the end resultRecently, I had windows replaced: the contract was signed with a company, the installation was done by that company's subcontractorsBut it was the original company that called and interviewed me regarding my satisfaction with the overall experienceIt was also the original company that came in when I made the service call and fixed the problem within five minutesApparently, that is not how Home Visions perceives its role: it ends with collecting and cashing the checkAs much time and energy as my family and I have spent dealing with Home Visions, we probably could have learned how to replace the roof ourselves and had the job done.I feel that the only reason Home Visions even sent someone to our house was not to provide the service and to fix the problem, but just to brush us off and to put the formal "check mark" that they had respondedI am sick and tired of dealing with them and I do not expect any decent, honest, or qualified services from them anymoreIt is very difficult for us to trust this company, especially since the company representative called me and introduced himself as Keith (the owner's name) and then quickly corrected himself with another nameWhen you get a phone call from a company employee who introduces himself with two different names, that seems to be a good sign that the company is bad newsWe had complaints about the work from the very beginning and it just kept buildingMaybe they have a lot of happy customers, but we are not them and I would not recommend Home Visions to anybody. The only resolutions to this dispute that we can see are the following: we will have to find a reliable, professional company that will fix the roof to the way it should have been done initially, will fix the inside damage that Home Visions was not able to address, and will inspect the rest of the roof to ensure that there are no shortcomings anywhere elseHome Visions will refund us the money that we paid for the roof installation, considering all the time and frustration and distress that has been spent on this matter, by so many members of our family since day 1.Sincerely, [redacted]
