Home With a Heart

My experience in this house was awful! I thought that I would progress by learning the 12 steps but I regresses and I had to find online courses to help me progress. Many of the women were not there to overcome their addiction. They spent a lot of time talking about the things they did during their addiction but never discussed goals to overcoming their addiction. There was one girl who almost came to blows three times, with three people, she tested positive for heroin twice but was allowed to stay in the program and bully people. When someone said something back to her, we were told that we were wrong and this girl was protected. This same girl also claims to have a service dog but she mostly leaves it in the house while she's out on her escapades and the dog is left in the house for hours at a time, to whimper. Verbal abuse is the norm in the house. I was told that the owner Andrew said not to let any ghetto people in the program, after being told that Andrew is racist. He told the house manager that she could tell by the way "ghetto" people sound over the phone. The house manager then stated that she had a white girl who spoke ghetto and she told me that she wanted to ask the girl did she know that she was white. Unfortunately, the house manager failed to realize that "ghetto mentality" is synonymous with stealing, being loud, verbally abusive, not cleaning up your house/behind yourself, etc.; which were things that some white women in the house did--along with coming close to fist fights. "Ghetto mentality" is American culture. Most Americans don't speak proper English and they throw temper tantrums when they don't get their way. Ignorance is the norm in this house. We are told that we are to buy our own things but women in the house steal and they get away with it. Home With a Heart AZ is not a good place for a person who wants to accomplish great things or anything in life.

I am a current client at Home with a Heart and am most happily more than content. The management here is beyond reproach and goes out of her way to extend business ethics and professionalism to each and every client. This program stretches beyond the call of duty for a excellent, peaceful environment in clean and sober transitional living! I am most pleased to recommend this program to all who desire to get and stay clean and sober. As a dually diagnosed (addict with mental issues), I am finding positive and healthy changes in myself and my peers. I am thankful to the current house manager for the very hard work and attention she gives to each of us!!!

Thos place is a rip off, I paid a $75 returnable deposit upon moving in. And then the day I was leaving. The manager, whose name is Christine Leiper, when I asked for my deposit back told me, that she had to wait for the owner to do the accounting, which she had previously told me, "That, that was the reason, she got that job. Because she did the accounting". And when I pointed that out to her. She threatened to call the cops on me. But besides that, I stayed there for 4 months. Had to clean up after her dogs, when I first moved in she had 1. And that dog died. Then she got 2 other dogs. The other ladies and I had to ALWAYS take care of them. That lady is a fat, lazy twit. Then when I called the owner, she hung up on me.
