Fee for handling contractor is not returned even though the loan never closed
In December I,***, established contact with Homelife Internaional to obtain loanswas a cash out refinance and the other a conventional loan with a repair loan on top
The cash out refi came through with no issues
The conventional loan was a little more complicatedDue to repairs needed on the house mentioned I needed a full doc loan with an extra amount for the repairs
The lender requiered a licensed General Contractor who was to be handled (paid) by Homelife International until all repairs were completed and inspectedThe service Homelife charged for and on March 30th the owner wrote:
"There will be $fee for your rehab loan, because we need to babysit the contractor throughout the process including holding the checks disbursing them etc..You can transfer funds to our*** account"
After questioning the high amount I tranferred the money
months down
