Homemaker's is a horrible business!! One of the worst experiences with a purchase in my life The level of customer service is 0, NONE!!! They take your money, over charge you for delivery and then no one cares if you even receive your furniture Which we have not and I had to call to find out what was going on!!!! They lost a peice of our bedroom furniture so they decided to take our delivery off the schedule and NOT call us Sound like a good business practice to you?? Stay away from this store I was hung up on, so at this point, I don't know if/when I'll receive my furniture to which is paid in full and they lost it!!! They didn't like my attitude regarding the mess they created so hanging up on me was the best choice for them We bought a recliner months ago and it's falling apart....they don't care Now I know why no one greets you in the store and you have to beg for help, HOMEMAKERS' AND THEIR STAFF DO NOT CARE Do not shop at this store

Worst experience with customer service , very very rude , yelling at you and bouncing customer between finance department and customer service They tell you upfront that they don't know the processes at their end leaving Custoner frustrated with all the money held up.Horrible! They make mistakes and we pay for their mistakes.please beware before buying any peice of furniture and especially with their own finance option!

Purchased leather Lazy boy couch, love seat and reclinerSet up deliveryThe delivery truck forgot to shut the door between deliveries and all the furniture was covered in dust(I live miles off a highway on gravel) they attempted to wipe it off however it was literally covered! Told me to call homemakers and they could have someone come out to clean itI called and it will be days until they will come outIn the meantime, my brand new furniture is unusableNot one apology or compensation for my inconvenience and I will have to take a vacation day for them to clean it

We bought a leather sofa and chair from Homemakers March The sales person talked to us about buying the insurance on it telling us things it coveredOne of those things was "if a child damages the sofa or chair it is covered under the warrantySo last week a visiting child damaged our sofa, the child was cutting something out of paper and basically cut a basketball sized hole out of the leather seat We spent days trying to get ahold of the insurance place and when we finally got them on the phone we were told it does not cover intentional damageThis clearly is not intentionalBut they would not cover itSo I called Homemakers and they basically would not help on the issueMy complaint to them was that the sales person told us damage from children was coveredI asked her what is the pint of me having purchased the insurance if it does not cover things we were told would be coveredShe argued with me for 10-minutes I said I wanted a refund for the insurance sine it does not cover things we were told it would, she finally agreed to refund it
I would rather have the couch repaired as promised by the sales person but that is not going to happen by them
I am very disappointed in Homemakers for not standing behind what their sale person sold usI am disappointed how the customer service lady treated me on the phone and spoke DOWN to meShe was rude and just wanted to argue about how I needed to read the warranty and that the sales person did not tell me what he told me
I recommend the sofa brand Global, I do not recommend getting it from Homemakers
First time customer (drove miles to shop there) and now a last time Customer
Fool me once shame on you.....I wont give you a chance to fool me twice so there won't be a shame on me!!

I really like my new furniture I purchased more furniture than I could fit in the room Hassel free returns

Satisfying experience met our expectations with bed we chose at homemakersCustomer service and as well as sales floor assoctiates we were/are absolutely satisfied with the our new bed Would love to come go back and purchase more home goods

My company purchased separate orders from Homemakers and everything was delivered in good order Upon completing the order online, my boss didn't get a receipt or order confirmation email Since these items are high-priced we needed receipts I've now spoke to three agents and sent two separate emails (to which no reply was received) and I am no closer to resolving this It has now been days since I first made contact via email The first two agents I spoke with in the "Online Orders" Department were rude and unpleasant to talk to They cut me off, were short with me, and absentmindedly said "uh huh" when I was explaining the situation to them The representatives could only find one of our orders and had to transfer me to another department, at which time, I got disconnected and had to call back again - only to leave a voicemail with that departmentAnother reviewer said, "Once you purchase they don't care"; I agree 100%Personally, I will not be doing business withthem

I bought a sectional couch, and spent the extra money on the warranty and protection plan FROM HOMEMAKERS! When I called to use the services homemakers redirected me to another company even though they were the ones who sold the protection plan to meThey failed to fax the purchase order to guardian (company doing the actual service) so I waited weeks to hear from a tech that wasn't going to call because they never received the fax from homemakersWhen I finally got homemakers to send the fax, guardian was just as worthlessThey showed up attempted to clean a total of square feet of the couch,but it literally looked like they did nothingI also spent over $on a dining room table that in two years is deaminating and we have kept a tablecloth on it for most of that timeI will NEVER buy another piece of furniture or protection plan from homemakers EVER!

On June 3/06/ we purchased a queen size head board and frame product number XXXXX and XXXXX brand MOFU from Homemakers in Urbandale, IAStarting a month ago the plastic holders for the slats started breaking at the edges causing the slats to fall outWe keep on having to take the mattress off to replace them but they continue to fall offWe finally stopped using the frame, placed the mattress on the floorI called Homemakers to have the problem resolved and asked for us to beable to return the frame and to be given a regular bedframe to replace the defefective oneI was told no that I had to wait two weeks for a tech to come out to our home to access the problemAfter asking customer service if that meant we had to continue to sleep on the floorShe said yes! She than asked me if there was anything else she could do? I told her yes,she could change her attitude and there policy!
We also purchased A Lazy Boy recliner that keeps losing it's internal screws and locks up

I came to your Des Moines store on 1/9/17, looking for bar stoolsMike *** sales associate, was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the bar stools that he showed meMike listened to my needs, answered my questions, and shared information about the construction of the different stools, warranties, and delivery optionsHe provided me information that allowed me to call him later that evening and place an order for the chairsI had explored chairs in other storesMike's knowledge, patience, answers, and quality of the furniture choices made my decision to purchase at Homemakers

I bought a mattress at Homemakers I'd recommend seeing Theresa This sales person knows her products well Listens to the coustomers wants/needs Excellent service

The sales personal were very informative. Making the selection of our cabinet was easy. Picking up personal were efficient too.

We purchased 3000 worth of furniture from them. Less than a year and both couches needed repair. Reported it and was told they would need to order the parts. 4 months later I checked with them and yes the parts were in and they would set up a sevice call to come and fix them. Finally got them here only to be told it was the wrong parts and they would have to order the right ones but it would be at least six weeks. Now am wating for more parts. At least 2 more weeks to go and they they will only come on there certain days so will have to take days off work again to get this done. Have already been told it will take two to three trips as they can't allow enough time in one visit to get it done, So I will have to miss this many days of work. Do not fel they are very reliable and also feel that they are not a very honest company.

Failed to deliver the merchandise we purchased, no communication waited almost 2 months. Contacted customer service and was given excuse after excuse but no attempt to make it right. The service manager was a rude nasty person who should never be allowed to talk to customers! I don't know how they stay in business? I will be warning everyone I know about the way they conduct business. Most negative experience I have ever had.

We dealt with Jennifer [redacted] today when purchasing our new mattress. She was most helpful and not pushy at all. She knew what she was talking about. Thanks for such a nice experience..
