Our Company requests arbitration with this Customer

Homeowner Helper installed a furnace for me a year ago and it has been great!
Guys represented the Company well and cleaned up well!
Keep up the good work Homeowner Helper!

Run, don't walk! Do not hire this company I am still waiting for the receipt on a job he did over two years ago We had them come out for a furnace/ air conditioning cleaning, things went from bad to worse Air conditioning didn't work, did not resolve problem, did not show up on time, hung up on us! Hired someone else, the air conditioning was fixed within an hour

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/05/27) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
This business has a bully representing them. How can a bill be sent to collections when it is not over due? How does a lein be put on a 91 yr olds home when bill is not being refused to be Paid?
[redacted] was called to examine a failed hot water heater he installed the year before. He wants $600 for two very short trips to the home.
That is what is being contested...$600 outrageous amount when he did nothing to repair the unit.
1. He did not get the job be caused he LIED.
2. [redacted] was suppose to have ordered the part and repaired for our 91 yr old home bound mom while we were in [redacted]
She is incontinent and needs hot water to keep clean. He claimed he would do this and did not. Did not care she was without water. He stalled almost 2 weeks till we got home, so he could get upfront money for the repair. BTW THE next vendor came out and repaired w/o any upfront $
3. He was to FINALLY RETURN parts from the former install to moms home, so we could have a insurance adjuster examine. WE wanted a homeowner insurance claim to finally be submitted and reviewed . Our insurance company was willing.
4. [redacted] said he Finally would return the parts that belong to the homeowner that he has had at his shop, so we could accomplish this AND HE LIED, He said he forgot...really! Two times he could have brought what was rightfully ours.
He continues to impede our right to get reimbursement. He controls our parts at his place of business when HE SHOULD NEVER HAVE REMOVED THEM FROM THE HOME IN THE FIRST PLACE.
5. BECAUSE HE IS NOT TRUSTWORTHY AND DOES NOT DO WHAT IS RIGHT AND ETHICAL HE DID NOT GET THE JOB.
(His claim about fraud on our part is bogus and ridiculous ...simply a tatic to divert attention and shows him to be a vindictive dishonest man. ) I remember after our very first meeting w him I asked him , since he had been paid upfront the $13,289 for the first repair, what would prevent him from forgetting about our claim and going on to his new business.. (We wanted to pay for parts and labor and wait for the insurance claim money once the adjuster met with him. )
[redacted] should have Never removed the damaged parts to his place of business and he knew that!
He looked us in the eye and said not to worry, everything he took would prove it was a outside power surge that did the damage and therefore a claim.
Just as feared... [redacted] went on to new business and Never made time for our adjuster to examine.
Nor did he return the parts to us so we could have them examined!
Just as I feared. ...he did not do what he promised or what was fair to our mom the homeowner.
Why give this business a second chance?
1. We thought we had to use original installer for warranty.
2. Plus We had a chance when the new hot water tank failed for him to get the job which was under warranty and do the right thing by returning the parts to the basement. He DID NOT ..
3. He lied again!
4. He claimed he forgot... Two times...when he knew for a whole year this is what we have wanted! Really two times?!
We do not feel his trip charges of $600 is even close to being fair. Instead they reflect a angry business man who is vindictive. For not getting hired.
$600 for two shirt trips to the home without any repair. Sound fair to you?
Standard in the business in $89.99 as proofed by his statement a year ago and as proffer by what a new repair service charged us this year. We are willing to pay two trip charges of 89.99 and one hour of labor at a generous $120.00 .
We are fair and honest people. This business in our case has not been fair!
This BULLY said he put the bill in collections and put a lien on the house for a bill that is not even overdue! Does this sound fair to you?
Please publish this so others will beware of doing business with this company.
Resolution
I would be willing to pay the whole unfairu $600 inflated bill for him just showing up IF HE WOULD RETURN ALL PARTS AND PHOTOS ON THE INTIAL INSTALL!
Simple fix ...why won't he do what is fair? Ask him!
His reply to our complaint is that justice will be served very soon. I pray to God this is the truth finally coming from his mouth, because it will fall on the pleasant boundaries of our side!

When a proven confirmed power surge damages equipment under warranty it is no longer under warranty unless you defraud the Manufacturer into thinking that it was not damaged by a power surge.
No parts were ordered by U.S. Because no authorization of work was signed and no deposit was given for the part.

Homeowner Helper has been my "go to" solution for every type of home maintenance/problem I've experienced. They have been very prompt in responding to a emergency during extremes in weather, all the while keeping me informed of their progress as well as pricing options. The equipment and materials they use are quality products and are installed quite professionally.
They have demonstrated thorough knowledge of essentially every type of concern I've had from the roof, to paint, to remodeling, to HVAC, to windows and have been able to accurately diagnose the source of the problem and the optimal solution. They have also demonstrated an understanding of those on budgets and will work with the homeowner to put in a place a solution at an equitable cost.
I must add that they took the time to explain situations and solutions in such a patient and respectful manner that my 85 yo was a loyal client.

We went out to this Customer's house and charged them $120.00, which consisted of a trip charge and a diagnosis fee.
We were trying to be nice about this, but I guess...

we have no choice but to explain since it has went to this step.
All of our Employees are refusing to come to your house due to the animal litter issue throughout the house and in the basement. Several Employees have gotten sick working there before.
At this point we have only charged you for what we did, which was come to the house and diagnose the issue.
If you cannot wait till we can find an employee willing to work and breath in your house then please call another Company. We left you a message this morning at 11:30AM but got a voicemail.

If this was the issue, they should have said something up front. Surely I could and would provide hazmat protection if they had none. This can't possibly be the first "animal odor" house they've encountered. I have seen worse. We can also gladly take other precautions. I understand. Better than he thinks. I do minister work at nursing homes.
Job is still his if he wants it. They do good work. I wouldn't have called them if they didn't.

Mr. [redacted],
Thank you for admitting that we do good work. We definitely try and it's tough in extreme temperatures to please every Customer.

These allegations are completely untrue and the new part about someone going into their bedroom and stealing their social security cards is new to this complaint that was originally filed. No one from Homeowner Helper was ever in there...

bedroom or upstairs without being followed by the Homeowner. This Customer never told anyone before this rebuttal that their social security cards were stolen out of their bedroom. This includes the Blue Island Police Department. We provided a service for this Customer per the contracts we had with them and after we installed a new furnace and got them heat they would not let us return to finish the air conditioner and they disputed their credit card transactions which we later won and we have placed a lien on their property as the court thought we had sufficient evidence to do. I would strongly hope that Revdex.com does not publicly post false unproven or previously reported stuff on it's website regarding our company.

We are currently in arbitration with this customer with our Credit Card Merchant Processing Company.
We are in negotiations with The [redacted]' Attorney.
Our position is that we did nothing wrong with the Customer and we followed our contract that we had with them.
7/25/14 info from business:
We received a letter in the mail from [redacted] today 7/25/2014 saying that we did not respond to the complaint, but we are showing responded on 7/22/2014.
We had a contract with the Consumer. We allowed them to read it and we went over it with their Family to help them understand since there seemed to be some language barriers. We never stole anything from the Consumer and the Consumer never saw us steal any of their property per their statement. They are only accusing us of it. We did not charge the Customer $13,000, but only $6,000.00. They disputed this with the Credit Card Company and we won the dispute. A Judge in a Circuit Court thought we had a right to file a lien on their property and we did. We are asking for arbitration with the Credit Card Company, but we do not believe the Consumer is agreeing for arbitration.
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 18, 2014/07/26) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Homeowner Helper Inc. did not discuss the contract with Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] the repairman just told Mr. [redacted] to sign papers and that they would fix the problem. The repairman left the home after the contract was signed saying he would return in 30 minutes to begin the work. Mr. [redacted] phoned the repairman after waiting 2 hours later and was told that he would not return until the following day at which time Mr. [redacted] became suspicious of the matter.
Due to the language barrier of not understanding English by Mr. [redacted] we feel that he was taken advantage of and charged inflated charges.
Mr. [redacted] will not be satisfied until his $13,500.00 is refunded and the lien on his house removed. Homeowner Helper Inc. can come take all their equipment from the [redacted] home since the work was never completed.
Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] are retired seniors living on a fixed income and if this injustice is not resolved it will cause them financial hardship. This is a typical case of seniors being taken advantage of by repair companies with malicious intentions! We ask that the Revdex.com help to correct this vicious crime.

On 3/27/2014 we went to [redacted] & [redacted]' house at XXXXX S [redacted] Street in [redacted] Illinois XXXXX. The Customer had no...

heat and we tried to repair the furnace for $1,119.97, discounted to $1.000.00, which they were charged on 3/27/2014. On 3/28/2014 after not being able the [redacted]'s very old furnace we suggested that Mr. & Mrs. [redacted] replace their very old HVAC System. They executed a contract with us to do so for $13,500.00. We spoke with two family members to clarify matters for the customer. We spoke to [redacted] on the phone and [redacted] in person. The Customer gave us (5) $1,000.00 deposits on their credit card which we all swiped and Mr. [redacted] signed them all. The contract amount was $13,500.00 and the deposit was $6,000.00, leaving a balance of $7,500.00. We worked till very late on 3/28/2014 with 4 guys. We removed all the old existing equipment and brought in all the equipment. The packing slip we have has all the equipment we brought in and left at the house. We stayed late there that night and installed the furnace and coil and gave the customer heat for the night. We were scheduled to come back to the house on Monday 3/31/2014, but the customer didn't answer the door for us when my three installers came back to the residence on 3/31/2014. In Illinois Customers have a 3 day cancellation right to rescend on any contract and the [redacted] Family did not exercise this right. Essentially the [redacted] Family signed a contract with us, had us bring all new equipment to them, had us install everything to give them heat and now they have disputed the credit card, but we have won the dispute from them. We have a signed contract, Letter sent to The [redacted] Family after they wouldn't let us return to their house, a packing slip for the equipment delivered to their house and a signed completion letter. We are currently in arbitration with the credit card dispute department.

In April of 2014 our 90 yr old mothers 7 year old (under warranty) boiler system failed. It was EASTER week and my mother in law had out of town company for her birthday as well as for EASTER . At first this was going to be a simple fix but two days into the repair it was told to us we needed a entire replacement. My out of town brother in law was residing at the time in the cold home and working with [redacted] to facilitate the repair. We never given a written estimate only a promise that all but $1000 deductible would be covered under what was sure to be a power surge claim.. Unfortunately we were distracted by our car being in a accident on the same day the boiler quit working. Distracted by birthday party and EASTER plans I was persuaded to let repairs continue. [redacted] was called when [redacted] told us it would be covered under a power surge claim. He continued to work and replace the unit with lots of workers all during our party weekend before EASTER Sunday. What looked to be a blessing of service has turned to be a Nightmare!. He removed the boiler before [redacted] could examine the parts and for almost a year now we have been fighting to have those parts examined. HomeOwner wants some proprietary agreements to be signed by [redacted] before they will let the parts( that should have never been removed from the site) be examined! Those parts belong to us and we have petitioned to pick them up so they can be examined away from whatever proprietary issues Homeowners are protecting. We have been denied acess. We thave been charged almost $14,000 for a replacement with no resolution to have [redacted] examine these parts. This in our opinion is unfair business practice! I have over 100 documented emails and $300 dollars in lawyer phone calls trying to resolve this issue! We will not let this issue be swept under the rug. [redacted] claimed because it was a Holiday weekend, and because my mother in law was elderly [redacted] would consider those extenuating circumstances and he was certain the replacement should be covered. and continued before a inspector could come. A rush iof installation that we have lived to regret! My experience with this Vendor has been very disappointing. They are very accommodating and install quickly leaving promises in their wake . They have done nothing to help this be a viable claim that we can get reimbursed.
Why?? Could it be as we has since learn that their prices for product and man hours are outrageous? They were paid in full before they left the home back in April of 2014 it is now April 7, 2015 and we are still PLEADING with Homeowner helpers to resolve this issue! You be the judge if this is a company you want to risk doing business with.

[redacted] & [redacted] have been our Customers since early 2001. We have been servicing their furnce and air conditioner since then. We...

installed their new furnace in October of 2008. On April 28th, 2014 Homeowner Helper had a service inspection on Ms. [redacted]'s system, where the Service Technician found damage on the 6 year furnace and subsequently the Air Conditioner, which was 13 years old. Homeowner Helper, Inc. entered into a contract with Ms. [redacted] to replace the furnace and air conditioner and remove the old units. Everything that was promised in the contract was delivered and Ms. [redacted] executed a completion certificate to us. It is up to Ms. [redacted] to work with her insurance to get reimbursed for any covered damage. Also Ms. [redacted] talked and checked with her Son on the price of the System overnight and he confirmed that the price was similar to what he had just paid to get the same done at his house. Any damage that was caused to the original furnace was damage not covered under the manufacturers warranty.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 10, 2014/08/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Homeowner Helper held back key information that AAA Insurance needed to process my claim:
1. explanation as to the damage to the 6 year old furnace and why it could not be repaired
2. make the furnace parts available to the claims adjuster to be inspected
3.photos of the old furnace they were taking while dismantling it.
There is no way my claim could proceed without Homeowners involvement.
I complained to the Revdex.com on July 13,2014 and on July 15,2014 Homeowners Helper
used my [redacted] Card information to charge $9500 to my account. This is FRAUD. My
account was paid on May 5,2014. My sister had work done by them the end of 2013-last month
(June) they used her credit card information to place two separate charges of $10000 each on her
[redacted] Cardthis is criminal and fraudulent activity on their part.
When the AAA insurance adjuster [redacted] first contacted [redacted] about inspecting
the furnace parts, a heated argument ensued with [redacted] threatening the claim adjuster with
physical harm. Mr. [redacted] phoned me about this argument and I contacted [redacted] and he
promised to allow the furnace parts to be inspected.
I have contacted the Fraud Department of [redacted] Card to dispute the $9500 charge and have filed
a police report against [redacted] for fraud and unethical business practices. Looking at some of the previous
complaints about this businessI am not the only person he has done this to. How can Revdex.com support
a business like this?
