Homeowners Choice Property & Casualty Insurance Company

I turned in a claim to Homeowners Insurance after a bad rain and wind storm that damaged my screened in porch and the facia of my roof. After 73 days my claim was denied on the phone and am still waiting for the mailing so I can go to arbitration. Apparently paying premiums isn't enough to be able to have your residence insured. Not much of a company to deal with.

I have been covered by Homeowners Choice Property & Casualty Insurance Company for several years. I had my first claim last year when my living room was flooded due to a plumbing leak. When I made the claim, the company responded professionally and fairly in evaluating the claim and covering the repairs. They had an adjuster to my home immediately and ended up replacing all the laminate in the house rather than just the one room where the floor had been damaged in order to have all the flooring in my house match perfectly. I paid my deductible and HC took care of the rest. I was completely satisfied with the outcome.
