I have never experienced as much difficulty getting a job done as with this company. The team they sent out was unprofessional, poorly skilled and did a terrible job. They fired this crew and brought in another. While More skilled, they were unreliable and attempted to take many short cuts. We ultimately settled with the contractor contingent upon some remediation items. After three months they are still not done. If you use these guys, DO NOT PAY THEM UNTIL THE JOB IS COMPLETELY FINISHED! Also expect it to take 3-times as long as they say! I’d also check their materials! They used already rusted screws and cut many extra pieces to save on plywood making it look like a puzzle when done!

Dear Mr/s *** sorry to hear regarding your concerns we're somewhat shocked to find this comment, we can all agree that the freezing weather conditions played a huge part on the small errors and we have made all appropriate changes to accommodate your requests and although the first crew didn't do a perfect job, we came back and placed a second crew plus secured a concrete plan of action together and took care of the flaws. In addition weather permitting we recently came back and added the small trim that was left to do, the job is complete and both of you mentioned that everything was to your liking except for the trim which as we mentioned was complete, please enjoy your products and our sincere apologies about the delay due to weather conditions, thank you for your business

Company completed three season room in May of 2018. Have had leaking roof problems shortly after completion. Between my wife and I we've contacted Roberto D *** 6 to 8 times. He keeps promising to send someone for repairs but fails to do so. We currently have six separate leaks.

Dear Mr ***, thank you for the reminder regarding the leaks, as we all can testify this has been a terrible year for rains and floods and there are rainfall record settings since 1930 with excess of 28 inches of rain by end of June, never the less our business, is doing well and doubled size in the last year, we like other similar firms that do outside work are experiencing delays in installs and the couple services we have and apologies profusely for that, I personally contacted you this past Friday 5th of October via text and told you we were coming in Saturday the 6th to fixed it and again it rained all day on and off with flooded areas, so we came in Sunday the 7th. I texted you back Sunday morning the roof was still wet and as I mentioned we need completely dryness to fix the leak, I have identified the area in need of attention and its a very simple fix, now that we have had a couple days of sun should be ok to come back, your room is beautiful and you said you both love it and will get years and years of enjoyment, again sorry about the delay we can build great products but cannot control the weather, we have 100's of customers with positive reviews and are an A+ rating company all over the internet, will take care of you no worries. Thanks Sincerely the Owner

Revdex.com:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, although we received a lot of rain I had been trying since June to get this taken care of. That's well over 100 days. Business owner did come Oct. 10 and worked on roof. Time will tell if repair was successful as it has not rained enough yet.

Regards

Where to begin...there is too much to write and apologize for the length. This company’s customer service is poor at best. As a preface I used this company 3 years ago for a patio cover. The job was done fairly well, but with a few hiccups along the way.
I had another outdoor project that was related to the initial project of 3 years ago, so I chose to use them again since they did the first install. The owner, Roberto, insisted that the job be done in December 2017, I wanted to wait, which caused them to work in 20 degree weather and snow. Said it would take 4 days. It took 2 weeks. I understand that they ran into some issues that extended it, but those issues were taken care of in one day. The workers did not show up early, and one day didn’t show up because one of them was “sick”. And the owner had no idea. What company closes because one employee is sick? They were at my home working in the dark, removed my Christmas decorations to use them for lighting. Debris and cigarette butts left in the yard. I could go on.
Roberto told me to inspect the work prior to him coming over for final payment in December, and a few minor items needed repaired and were discussed with him, along with an ongoing repair of the initial project-a leak-that was first brought to his attention in September 2017 that has yet to be resolved (and that product is under a lifetime warranty). On March 5, 2018 I emailed Roberto regarding the repairs we discussed and a few additional issues that were discovered once Spring rain had begun. He put put me off for almost 3 months. Many excuses including they were behind on installs due to adverse weather that they needed to do. I guess my repair order from December wasn’t as important as making money on new jobs. Adverse weather? Was 20 degree weather and snow not adverse when he insisted on doing my job? All he kept saying is they’d schedule it ASAP. Clearly he does not know what that means. Emailed multiple times since then and just kept putting me off. He already had my money. Again, I could go on with more details.
Fast forward to now. Roberto finally emailed me and said they’d come on the following Tuesday or Wednesday. (it’s now the end of May...six months after the job was done). I told him Tuesday, as Wednesday would not work for me. Monday, May 28 he emailed me and said repairs are scheduled for Wednesday, May 30. I stated it was not acceptable, as he said Tuesday would work. He then gave me an excuse of not having the right colored screws? Hilarious. He said, it’s ok, you don’t need to be there. I beg to differ. After the shoddy work that was done, and after his constant putting me off, I most certainly would want to be there. I want to know that they are repairing everything that needs repaired, and how they are repairing it. He said “don’t worry, it will be ok”. Patronizing. It’s really not ok.
Tuesday, May 29 I received a call from his repairer claiming he was in an accident on his way to my home. Roberto told me he’d be here Monday, June 4, and that they’d wait for me to get home from work to go over what they fixed. He confirmed it twice with me. Got home from work, no sign of anyone. Texted him, he said the guy was on his way. He shows up with his girlfriend and some other guy, and says it was his fault, that he got the wrong day but promised he would definitely be back Wednesday, June 6th. Shows up at 7:30 in the evening. They do the work which included installing new downspouts due to leaking from the December job when they weren’t reinstalled correctly. And tried a fix on the leaking roof. I wake up Sunday morning to rain and water pouring from the downspouts and still from the roof. I sent him pictures and video. Says we’re scheduled for yet another repair on Friday June 15th. Get home to find Roberto’s contractor with another guy, and his girlfriend?? They “fix” the downspout, run water through it to test it, and guess what? Still leaking. And didn’t acknowledge the ongoing roof leak...said he didn’t know about that although I sent pictures. He wants to fix it with tape. Kidding, right? And I’ve not heard a word from Roberto. There are so many more details.
I cannot recommend this company. They are a joke. Unprofessional. They will be most responsive to get your business, but after that if you need repairs, they will not. They hire unskilled workers and cut corners. Their prices are also high. When he comes to pitch you the job, he’ll quote you a price that’s high, then he’ll say he can give you a discount, which is still high. A friend just got the same job done, same size project, similar materials, etc, and paid less than half of what I paid, and the work is flawless. One of the workers asked what I paid and laughed in disbelief. I hired him because I liked him. My bad. He will call and ask you to leave him good reviews which I did, unfortunately. Notice how many of his reviews on various sites were posted at the same time as a result of his calls. You shouldn’t have to ask for reviews. And I sent him a copy of this review and told him I really didn’t want to post it...but he clearly doesn’t care, so here it is. I will be contacting the company for the warranted patio cover that’s leaking (whom Roberto was supposed to consult with on the repair and didn’t) and will tell them that I will not recommend their product if he is their only installer in my area. If I have to call another contractor to fix the work I will also take legal action against him for what I end up paying for those repairs. My only recommendation is to stay away.

Hello, this is the owner, we appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention, although we have hundreds of satisfied customers we are certainly not perfect but made efforts to rectify the issues as we both know that we have been there and never dismissed your email or call ins. One of the issues that would need to be addressed is that initially you wanted a ceiling fan on the roof and then after we made the modifications for fan install you changed your mind which is ok but condensation is now occurring causing the water dripping. Nevertheless we are still going to take care of it to stop the water leak, we installed this systems for several years now and under normal circumstances are ok and usable for many many years to come. I'm personally in contact with the MFG as well and will be contacting you to schedule the service call. Again sorry about the inconvenience, we are a 5 star company and intend to keep our A+ rating we have. Regards HPR

I would not recommend hiring this company. Our project included a full kitchen remodel, wall removal, and transformation of an existing porch into a 4 seasons room to be used for dining. The kitchen turned out very nice, but the new room has several areas of poor craftsmanship, including uneven floors and trim. The project was originally scheduled to last 3 weeks, but it took 9 weeks to complete. Many days no one showed up to do work, or if they did, they would only spend a few hours at our home. There were some problems with staff turnover, with a couple of electricians and kitchen experts leaving the project prior to it starting and the main builder leaving the company before our project was complete. The work and schedule suffered considerably and when we documented the things that were wrong, the owner called us angrily, yelling and stating that he would put a lien on our home if we did not pay the remaining balance. We paid them because we no longer wanted to have any interaction with their company. We are currently working with other home improvement specialists to correct the problems created in our new room.

HomePro Remodelers Response

Hello we appreciate your compliments regarding the kitchen, we are sure you will have years of enjoyment with your family and friends, the kitchen turned out very nice since it was completely removed and installed from scratch, as far as the porch we had to work with existing conditions with uneven floors and uneven headers which is not unusual with the age of your home and many of our clients have experienced the same situations however its really nice and you will get years of enjoyment, we at HPR strive to do our best with estimated time of completions but sometimes the weather is tricky in the Pittsburgh area and slow things down, many other company experience similar situations and we apologize about the delay.
