I have hired Home Remodeling and Repair for a couple of different jobs. They have completed a roof replacement and siding repair successfully. Then in October of 2019 I have decided to also hire the company for installation of under-deck roofing. Iani P, the owner, evaluated the project, confirmed that they can complete it, and agreed to start. I have received an invoice for a deposit of $602 on 11/04 which I promptly paid. To date (02/12/2020) the work has not been completed, with no end in sight.
Several times since the start of the project I have received a notice of completion and a demand for payment. This was the case on 12/11/2019, and I promptly sent photographs and video showing extensive leaks and the fact that the job was not done. Additional work was then performed, I was again told the job was done, I received another invoice and note of completion on 01/12/2020. I have again sent photographs and video showing the extensive leaks and the status actually being worse than previously. On 01/26/2020, having seen no sign of additional work or any plan or communication whatsoever, I have communicated my desire to end the project and asked for a refund of the deposit. Iani P, the owner, asked to have another attempt. We agreed on a completion target of 02/03/2020, and I received assurances that a new crew would restart the project with a new plan. As of 02/12/2020 (more than a week past the agreed deadline), the situation is no better, with extensive leaks everywhere. The site crew foreman (Fernando) told me yesterday that he would be back to try to repair things, but per email exchange today with Iani P, he was again convinced things were mostly finished and he was not aware of any additional leaks.
I have been more than patient through many attempts over several months. It is clear that this project cannot be completed by this company.
I have extensive photo, video, and documentary evidence for this chain of events that I can provide as needed.
