Advantage Homes breech of warranty contract
We have documented agreement from Advantage Homes that they were to repair a sunken sidewalk at our home. We submitted this as a 1-year warranty item. The 1-year *** was in May of 2017. We have emails from Advantage Homes stating that repairs would be completed in July. No repairs were completed. In August, my husband received verbal confirmation that our sidewalk would be repaired when concrete was poured for some other new homes on our block. On October 2nd we received a handwritten note that the sidewalk would be repaired the next day. No one ever showed and the concrete on the new homes has been completed. Despite multiple promises, the season for concrete repairs is almost over and Advantage Homes is clearly in breach of contract.
Honor their warranty obligation
Our response to the complaint:
Inclement weather was forecast for October 3rd. We decided rather than getting in the middle of the tear-out and pouring new concrete with rain in the forecast, we would wait until the first part of the following week. The sidewalk was torn out and new concrete poured on Tuesday October 10.
