Homes Direct Of Washington Reviews (4)

We paid for a home in full December 1, We were told the process of completing the home would be about 6-weeks weather permitting We did have snow and the holidays so we can say weeks addtional being lenientThis would be the end of February We are in the middle of July and our home still has not been completed There is about days worth of work to complete the home and no workers have been at the house for months The home and contractor Site Services (I filed a complete also against them) were paid in full We have services we paid for out of pocket because the people they contracted did not come to do the job and we already paid for the service up front We are not able to call the county to take occupancy of the home until they complete the work We also had to pay for a lock smith that Gary authorized When their cleaning crew came to clean the home their master key did not work and the cleaning service could not afford to pay for the lock smith to get in

We have been under contract with homes direct since 9-12-to build a manufactured homeThis whole time they have pushed our homes completion date farther and farther out, far exceeding the time table they advertise on their websiteNow they are claiming that we never discussed installing a tankless water heater in our home and that if we want one we have to pay more moneyThat is a complete lieWe discussed on multiple occasions having a propane tankless water heater installed and were told it was already in the price of the homeNow they are threatening to cancel our home order and we will have to go with a different companyThey have already demolished our old home and we have no where to stay and they know this and are trying to make our purchase as difficult as possible

Dear Ms. [redacted],
Your previous correspondence was addressed to [redacted]. Mr. [redacted] no longer works forHomes Direct of Washington and was not employed by Homes Direct of...

Washington at the time of the[redacted] and [redacted] transaction. I am the general manager of Homes Direct of Washington and Ipersonally handled [redacted] and [redacted]'s transaction.
The purchase process for ordering a manufactured home from our store is to provide a preliminaryspecification and pricing request to the [redacted]. This typically is a hand written order and print showingthe desired amenities and options. Often, several preliminary specs are sent as conversations with thecustomer continue and the order develops. Once the customer finally agrees on all options and pricing,a final confirmation is sent from the [redacted] for the customer's approval. This final order andconfirmation must be signed by the customer before the home is put into production. Enclosed is acopy of the signed final order and confirmation signed by the [redacted]'s. We don't dispute that [redacted] initially requested a 25 cubic foot refrigerator. However, that size refrigerator was not offeredby the [redacted] as part of the appliance package the [redacted]'s selected. It plainly states onthe [redacted] confirmation that the fridge is a 22 cubic foot size. I met with the [redacted]'s and went overthe confirmation with them, line item by line item before they signed it. If they were unwilling to acceptwhat the [redacted] offered as an appliance package, they should not have signed the confirmation.Regardless, Mrs. [redacted] insists that the preliminary, hand written work up reflects the actual orderand not the final order with confirmation stamp, bearing their initials, that clearly states "I/WeAcknowledge that All options listed on this page were reviewed by myself and my I our Homes Directof Mount Vernon Sales Representative" and a second stamp with their signatures that reads, "FINAL Changes of any kind will NO longer be accepted" A copy of the [redacted]'s final order is enclosed.
Respectfully,

John L**, General Manager
