Review: Handled settlement on very stressful real estate transaction. Could not give me a time for settlement. Was told I was "on call" for a time. Due to my work schedule I requested a specific time to go in & take care of everything on my day off. I signed the documents & was told I was done. They took my address & told me a check would be forwarded to me. The same evening at 8 pm. I received a call from the realtor stating that I had to go in to sign all the papers the next morning. There was no communication between this co. & the realtors. I could not rearrange my surgery schedule @ 8 pm. for the next business day. There was absolutely NO respect for my time. I was visibly upset the next day. The person handling the settlement did not address my complaint. Instead she proceeded to shake her finger at me & treat me like a child. This person kept passing the blame onto the realtor & the realtor kept blaming the settlement company. There was an absolute lack of communication & disrespect for someone selling there home. To date I have not received my check. It has now been 6 days. Two days after this ordeal I receive a phone call from the realtor asking me if I once again could drive over to the office to pick up the check. I informed her that the settlement co. took my address & informed me they would be mailing the money.Desired Settlement: I am requesting the company mail me the check. After driving over to the realtor's office to sign papers at least 6 times then driving to the settlement co. twice & being told they were mailing the check I would appreciate some sort of respect for my time. I am also requesting an apology for poor customer service & a complete lack of respect.
