Review: Last October, Pillar to Post did home inspection to our newly purchased home in [redacted] prior to our closing. The house is a short sale so whether or not we will go to closing was largely depends on the outcome from the inspection. We saw Pillar to Post online and thought this company is a large company so we decided to hire them to perform the inspection. Pillar to Post provides three service packages with different pricing. Because we have noticed some water damage to the ceiling so we decided to get the "Premium package" which includes "the use of an infrared camera to help us detect moisture that is invisible to the human eye". We want to be careful that if obvious moisture behind the wall is detected, then we would reconsider our decision and will largely likely not to purchase the house.

Pillar to Post came last Octobor and did the inspection and failed to detect the moisture behind the wall as promised in the service package. As a result, we went to closing and after closing, we found out the there were serious mold issues to the house. Pillar to Post failed to detect the moisture behind the master bathroom shower wall, failed to detect the moisture behind the kitchen sink wall, and failed to detect the bath tub leak of the second bathroom at the second level, and etc. There are many other problems were not detected and in result, we have spent over $20,000 to fix the problem, not mentioning the mental hardship and time, energy cost us. However, we understand that per the contract with Pillar to Post, the only thing we can ask back from Pillar to Post is the inspection fee. Also, because before the inspection, Pillar to Post has agreed with us that we can pay the fee after closing, so because we didn't pay the fee yet, we have decided to not pay the inspection fee due to the failure of the inspection. We have also noticed Pillar to Post regarding this matter.

However, Pillar to Post now has turned the bill to a collection company and we kept receiving collection letters for the amount which we do not believe we owe. Therefore, I would like to ask Revdex.com to help and demand Pillar to Post stop contacting us and cease any further actions to us regarding this bill which we believe we do not owe.Desired Settlement: Ask Pillar to Post to stop trying to make any form of contact with us, and inform the collection company immediately to stop make any contact with us.
