Ms. [redacted] I chatted with one of your agents this morning on your website regarding the above noted complaint.  She advised me to email you. I am responding to Complaint [redacted] which we just received in our office a few days ago.  If you...

could, please also update the email address you have on file for Hometown Financial as [redacted], that would be helpful in us responding to complaints in a more timely manner. Hometown Financial provides Debt Hardship programs to consumers struggling with usury Payday Loans.  The debt management program for which Mr. [redacted] signed up has such lenders accept proposals for interest & fee free payment plans for the principals of Mr. [redacted]' outstanding loan amounts.  Given Mr. [redacted]' combined balance of $5,016.31 and stated budget, the program term was set for 12 months per his executed agreement with Hometown Financial.  Hometown Financial contacted Mr. [redacted]' lenders in March of 2015 and was able to obtain the interest rate and fee reduction concessions promised to Mr. [redacted]. With regards to this complaint, Mr. [redacted] complains that the Loans and Lenders he enrolled in the program were not getting paid.  Hometown Financial received a total of $3,704.43 (Funds In) from Mr. [redacted] and paid out $3,394.48 to his lenders, which included Cash Net USA, Max Lend, Golden Valley Lending, Clear Lake Holdings (dba Multi Loan Source) and Net Credit.  Payments were sent monthly to his lenders with those payments posting on 4/10/2015, 5/7/2015, 6/12/2015, 7/10/2015 and 8/14/2015.  The only Lender not paid was Radiant Cash, where Hometown Financial contacted this lender and this lender confirmed that Mr. [redacted] had a zero balance with their company.  Mr. [redacted] requested resolution in his complaint to the Revdex.com was for Hometown Financial to "pay on the loans".  This is exactly what Hometown Financial did without any prompting from the Revdex.com and per the regular monthly payment schedule set forth in our debt hardship programs. Mr. [redacted] also complained about reaching Hometown Financial's voicemail and that he never received any calls back.  However, we have no customer service notes or digital records of any voicemails or emails from Mr. [redacted] on the date(s) in question.  The following notes confirm that we spoke with Mr. [redacted] on 7/28 before we even knew of any complaints and within just 2 business hours of him filing his complaint: 7/28/2015 11:01 AM    Quick Note        Quick Note        Client ci (called in), wants to cxl (cancel).  Said we're not paying his lenders enough.  I explained the process, he still wants to cxl.  form sent.  stopped recurring (drafts) in (payment processing system).    [redacted] Unfortunately, Mr. [redacted] appears to lack the patience to see the program through.   Without tripling Mr. [redacted]' Bi-Weekly payments, it would have been impossible to completely pay off all his loans in just 4 months.  The total original balance was $5,016.31.  With that said, payments were made to Mr. [redacted]' lenders as promised with the funds paid by Mr. [redacted] through 7/17/2015 (before he cancelled).  Please see Payment History below.  3 out of his 6 lenders were paid off in the 4 months he was enrolled.  We did advise Mr. [redacted] that Lenders could begin to accrue interest and fees again if he were to cancel the hardship program, but he still chose to cancel. We wish Mr. [redacted] the best of luck and would certainly be willing to allow him to re-enroll to complete the program should his lenders be willing to accept him back in.  This may be possible given that it has only been 30 days.  Please let me know if you have any additional questions. -Max   [redacted] Hometown Financial _______________________________________________________________ [redacted] Austin, TX 78758
