Hometown Medical

Delivery of commode arranged to el camino rehab center. Hometown medical said no one was present to accept delivery at the 24/7 rehab center. I drove through commute traffic to pick up commode and was told they were awaiting delivery. I was told equipment would be delivered to my home. Four weeks later delivery still hasn't been made. When I called to inquire about delivery I was told item was awaiting delivery tags.

Next mishap with Hometown Medical was with a wheelchair that developed broken wheel spokes from one month of usage. Two weeks later, wheelchair was replaced with a new one. Upon using the wobbly, shakey wheelchair, an inordinate amount of force was necessary to hold the wheelchair down to keep the patient from spilling out of the chair. As a result the two "tail pipes" sticking out in the back caused a bloody gash in the leg of my sister pushing the wheelchair. A trip to hospital emergency was required, 14 stitches and pain, pain,pain. Upon reporting this incident to Hometown Medical I was told there was nothing they could do about the chair. I was transferred to Angela, the manager and subsequently disconnected as the voicemail box was not accepting messages.
