Hometown Motors Reviews (1)

Review: We bought a SUV from Hometown Motors on the 8/15/2013 . We bought it from [redacted] a salesman. He told us that he’d get us a CD player that would work It worked for the trip back to Libby Montana. Called him about this problem . He said he’d sent a different on NO SO!! He told us that the ABS light would go off within the week NOT SO!! Now the check engine light is on.

We’ve called about this problem also. Left a couple 3 messages about these items. NO CALL BACK yet!!

We didn’t get any call backs at all. We told him that we needed a vehicle that was dependable. We didn’t get a dependable SUV. We know are owing over 4800.00. There would be no way to buy another one. My husband doesn’t walk good at all and we both have medical issues so we dependable vehicle to go to the doctors or for grocery’s. I shouldn’t have to leave 2 or 3 messages. It is July 26th of 2013. He told us that these items were taken care of at their shop. We haven’t checked the 4 x 4 they were to fix this also. We will not buy another vehicle from this dealer again. Our phone number is ###-###-#### [redacted] and [redacted]. ThanksDesired Settlement: See above.

Response:

I really think this lady is not telling the truth because she told me a different tail. The vehicle was sold as is no warranty and they signed it in all three spots. So with the truth not coming out of them, could you please remind them the as is no warranty means its there vehicle not mine so why am I the one that should fix there problems.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

Regards,

We are rejecting the message that we received from [redacted]. We aren’t contesting the fact that we signed all the AS IS clause 3 times.

This business came from Spokane and stole our vehicle without any permission . We were current with all the payments and we usually sent them early each month. They went or called in at the Lincoln County Sheriff office and told them it was a repo. IT WASN’T A REPO!!!! Our payment was on the 26th of each month. They came and got the Blazer on July 18th 2013. We weren’t late on any of our payments. They just came in and stole our vehicle. They never called or came to the door they just took it [redacted] told me on the phone that they didn’t repo the vehicle that they just came over and picked it up to get it fixed for us. When I told her that they didn’t have permission to pick it up period!!! Then on the 20th of July of 2013. She called and told me the same thing and that she wanted us to send a key so they could fix it for us. We then asked her why didn’t the person come to the door or call us to get a key if they were just fixing the Blazer. I told her again that they stole our Blazer. I also told her that the tires on the vehicle was ours also. She then told me that that it wasn’t a REPO we’d get our Blazer and tires back,!!!! This business isn’t honest at all. They totally stole our vehicle !!!! We had to hire a attorney which we couldn’t afford but we couldn’t afford not to. We have over $5000.00 invested in the Blazer this isn’t right at all now we can’t even sell it because we don’t have it here. We even asked her how she’d like it if someone did this to her. She said she wouldn’t like it either. We weren’t late on our payments and they took it upon their selves to take a vehicle that legally doesn’t belong to them. We feel they should buy the Blazer from us since they stole it. Our phone number is ###-###-####. [redacted] and [redacted]

Response:

I was not involved in this case with the repo at all????????? you must be mistaken or just wanting to make things up again. I stick with my response from the first time, my vehicle was sold as is no warranty at all. I have not changed my story at all it remains the same unlike yours. P>S get your stories straight before you type again.

We know about the AS IS we signed. We were told by [redacted] that the lights were on check engine and abs light was still on. My husband finally got the check engine light off. But the ABS light is still on and we talked to [redacted] about the lights. [redacted] told us the ASB light it might go out when we washed it . It didn’t. We are working on another complaint also We know that it isn’t you that is involved Sorry about that. When we come to Missoula again we’ll have you check the ABS light and the 4x4 that is making a strange sound. The service man told “[redacted] that is wasn’t making the noise and we should’ve drove it again but we didn’t. Sorry again about the mixup. We told the Revdex.com office about the emails Thanks [redacted]
