Review: On 9/28/2013 two employees of Hometown TV and Appliance Rental came by my home at 12:10 pm. I was not at home at the time. Upon returning home, my neighbors said the two employees banged on my door, window and the rang the doorbell for about 30 minutes. The neighbors were afraid that these two employees were going to knock my door down or break the window. The employees were said to be banging so loud that they could be heard several homes away. Right as the two employees were leaving, the neighbors were startled and about to call the police. This action is not acceptable and highly unprofessional. This action should not be considered a legal collection practice.Desired Settlement: Filing and publication of this formal complaint. This type of behavior should not be encouraged or promoted by this business.

I, Rob Lloyd, manager of the store, have attempted several times to get in touch with Ms [redacted] to discuss this matter with no response. I did send employees to her residence to attempt to collect a payment due to Ms [redacted] being delinquent with my company. I have also spoken with my employees about this matter and gone over the proper ways to attempt to collect a dept at a household. My employees assure me that all they did was knock on the front door. Also, Ms [redacted] was not home at that time to corroborate the statement that was made. I would like to still speak with Ms [redacted] about this matter so we can move forward with our business relationship. Rob LloydManager

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Several of my neighbors approached me so I am certain the employees acted in an inappropriate manner. I do not have a relationship/friendship with my neighbors so they would not have a reason to collaborate and fabricate such a story. I have no dealings or communication with my neighbors. I do not need to speak with anyone regarding this manner. I do not anticipate such behavior to be displayed again regardless of if a payment is due or not. I have addressed the issue and my concerns.
