Hometown Transmission & Auto Repair Reviews (4)

The running of this business is atrociousI dropped my vehicle off on February 5th, in great running condition, for a basic transmission problemWhen the mechanics were "fixing" my car, something was botched, creating more issues than when the vehicle was dropped off (for which they imposed additional costs upon me)As of March 2nd, my vehicle still does not runI have paid over $for a vehicle I likely will not be able to use at any point in the future

Hometown Transmission took over 3 weeks to repair my transmission. It was supposed to be a fairly easy job but every few days there was something else wrong and a few hundred added to the bill. Quoted 1850$ and paid 3500$. Three months after I got my truck back, the transmission started leaking and slipping. It was a nationwide warranty but the owner told me I would have to bring truck to him which was 150 miles away. He also said I would have to pay for the towing and repair. That the warranty only covered his shop. I contacted ATRA, automatic transmission repair association, who directed me to take it to a place near me. Hometown Transmission finally called me many times, at all his, wanting to work out a deal with me.
