Review: We stayed at the Homewood Suites by Hilton New Orleans August 1, 2014 to August 3, 2014.Confirmation number 87008955.When we arrived home we noticed that the Nintendo DS PlayStation and 14 games for our granddaughter were no longer in our luggage.The PlayStation was never removed from the luggage for our stay.They played in the pool, spent Saturday at the Zoo and we walked the French Quarter, the PlayStation and games never were taken out of the luggage.This was our only stop on this trip.I called for the hotel manager but Head of Housekeeping called back.The situation was explained to her and she wanted to get the Head of Valet to call me back, I explained I wanted to speak to the hotel manager. After filing a complaint with Hilton Guest Services and filling out a review on TripAdvisor the manager did call me.Due to the limitation of this description a portion of her email is below:Good Morning Mr. [redacted],Thank you for speaking with us this week about your granddaughters missing DS. As promised, I reviewed the security footage and Valet did open the luggage. When we spoke Wednesday I asked you to file a Police Report as this is a claim of theft and I will need to allow the Police to review our tapes as well. I must apologize again as this is the most I can do at this time. When you have filed the police report, please forward that number to me so that I can include it with the video footage for the police to review when they come investigate. The New Orleans Police Department has more urgent matters than to try to solve the theft of a child's game at the hotel.

Instead of blaming it on the police department not doing their job perhaps the hotel could take some responsibility.

It has been nearly two months, does the hotel intend on just forgetting about this?
