HomeWorks Plumbing Heating & Air Reviews (2)

I am rejecting this response because:  Homeworks response is full of false statements.   I was not home until the old water heater had been removed, the contract was signed and my wife had already given them our credit card information.   I never signed anything.   She was late for a meeting and had to leave as I arrived home so I never had to chance to talk with her about what was going on.  Later I found out they told my wife we wouldn't have hot water unless we paid over $2k to fix it or the $5k we paid to replace it.  I did see them finish the install but I didn't know the price we were paying or the misrepresentations about the product at that time as I didn't get to talk to my wife.  Also the new water heater wasn't completely installed yet when I arrived home but I couldn't do anything unless we didn't want to have water that night. We never told anyone to contact the business.  I called him and said it that their charges were outrageous and they misrepresented the product the next day.  Kim put a post on Facebook about how horrible our experience was with Homeworks and that we were scammed but in no way told anyone to contact them.  When we asked Andy who called he wouldn't tell us so we would like to hear the call.  After Andy told us to sign the agreement or he would "take steps to protect his company" I told him to just contact us in writing going forward.  When he sent the agreement he said he wanted us to change them to 5 star reviews.  I said no way as I was against his business practices.  I also told him the morning he send the agreement that I was uncomfortable taking the review down and wasn't sure I could do it and he said he had done this before. We also never said that we were going to have the equipment removed so to say that is the reason he didn't file permits is absurd.  You can see from Andy's original email response that he said he would take out the equipment out if we wanted but we just asked him to stay off of our premises.

We were told by the customer that if we refunded them $1700, they would not file any complaints and considered this resolved.  We explained that this is a form of extortion or black-mail.  [redacted] explained that he works for a [redacted] at their Eagan office in the Social Media division and...

he would have no problem destroying our image online.  Within 24hrs, [redacted] and his wife, [redacted] proceeded to blast us inappropriately online.  To the extent that they asked non-customers to contact us and complain about our company.  We have a recorded phone call where this happened - we confirmed this person had never used our services.  After receiving this phone call, I contacted [redacted] and explained that this type of behavior was borderline illegal and he had his wife pull her libelous comments from facebook.  [redacted] proceeded to say that he would accept our $1700 only if we waived our rights to pursue his wife's action legally. Both [redacted] and [redacted] were both present at the home prior to any work or materials arriving at their home.  To insinuate that there was some sort of pressure is absurd.  I personally greeted [redacted] in the driveway at the time of installation with the materials would be installing.  He had no problem allowing us to complete all the work that his wife, [redacted] signed for.  After the work was completed; [redacted] inspected the work and paid for the work with a credit card.  It was only the next day that he contacted us threatening to trash our name online. The customer informed us that they were going to challenge the charges with theie credit card and have our work removed from their home and installed by another company.  At this notice, we did not pull the permits with the city.  Since we have been informed that they are not having it removed and replaced by another provider.  We have pulled the necessary permits since finding this information out.  Permit # PL2017-4486 has been pulled with the city of IGH.
