Review: I was provided an estimate of $3547.30 on 12/19/2014 for a property that [redacted] personally did work on within a few weeks prior to the estimate request. The estimate made no note of needing to confirm anything once onsite or that the estimate could be exceeded by a set amount. The work spanned over one full month during which time [redacted] was on the premises several times as well as having several calls and text messages between he and I. Never was it communicated that the estimate would be exceeded. He knew that I could not exceed the estimate through our conversations. My son and I did the majority of the demo work and took care of the disposal which ultimately should have reduced the overall cost. In addition, the new sheet rock in the kitchen was never primed nor was the range fan installed. I received a bill on 1/28/2014 for $6858.42. While [redacted] dropped the bill $875, that does not address the remaining $2435.62 more than the original estimate (after removing the cost of the additional shower work). This is 70% greater than the original estimate. I was provided a fraudulent estimate that was never revised. No was I ever informed the estimate would be exceeded. [redacted] was obligated to inform me so that I could have stopped the work because I could not afford more than the estimate.I also feel that I was taken advantage of - being a single female and a single parent. In this position, [redacted] knew that I could not afford to have something derogatory entered on my credit. I feel that I was coerced into paying significantly more than what I was told the job would cost and didn't get the things that were committed and even stated on the final invoice.Desired Settlement: Refunding of the $2435.62 above the original estimate.

We've used Homeworks several times to do renovations in our home - three bathrooms and our main living area. They've always been very professional and have done a great job - we're really happy with their work, especially the custom woodworking for large floor-to-ceiling cabinets and entire master suite bathroom vanity. We'd definitely use them again and would easily recommend them.
