Awsome rental list The owner Matt is really nice. Well worth the price I paid.

Called them regarding ad. Was told unsure about specific listing but had others. Told him I had two pets; we spoke about a farm; w/registration.
On *** I called the number given on an ad in *** for a house for rent in the *** area. The number was for Homexchange. I spoke with a gentleman about that particular residence, and whether they accepted pets. However, he had a lot more listings, and there was a farm house that he knew about. He said the company dealt with businesses and private residences. This farm house was a lady they worked with all the time. He said I'd have to come down to "register" with them in order to get her information.

Once I drove to their office, paid the $*** registration fee and received the listings, it clearly said there were no pets allowed.

There was another customer waiting, and the phone was ringing off the hook. I decided to look into another residence. Once I drove there, I called the number given and was told the house was under contract. I was also told by the Real Estate company that over half the listings on the document I just paid for were already closed.

I called Homexpress twice to explain and give them the option to refund my money. They called back and just left excuses.

This individual clearly lied to me. While explaining the house to me, he would have seen that there were no pets accepted.

I feel this company takes advantage of people that are desperate to find a place. The fee of $*** doesn't seem like much, but adds up quickly.

I would like my $*** back please.

In regards to Debra *** complaint it is unfortunate she is having issues. The original home she had contacted us about was being advertised as available through *** both on our website and it was also on *** website as available on the day Debra came in. Debra came in at the same time as another couple and yes the phones were ringing. After Debra explained that she only needed a one or two bed home, I remembered we had a farm home in *** that was for rent. I thought it might work for her so I printed out the details on the property and also pointed out the other home on our list. I did not look at pet policies at that point as she had not discussed pets at that time. Not until she was going to leave our office did she explain she hoped one of those homes would work for her and her two dogs. As it did turn out the farm home was no pets and the other home was pet ok but *** had received an application and it was likely it would be rented.
We had explained to Debra that this was a service and by signing up its not for a specific home but the service. Debra started calling wanting her money back instead of asking if we had any other homes which we had just added a pet ok home off *** in *** which was in her price range and others have come and gone since. It is irreverent what a real estate agent had to say as they do not work for us and really have no idea on the matter. Debra was not mislead and will not be granted a refund as she has access to the services she paid for including many available homes. It's unfortunate those two didn't work but we have others and others will become available.

The response is untrue, but I'm not going to continue to argue about this.

It is unfortunate this company feels it needs to lie to people.

Charging $*** for a list of houses for rent that they steal ads from when some of the houses aren't even available.
I paid for a so called list of houses that were going to be available for rent, as I was struggling to find something available. The homexchange said that it would be a four month program and they would help find a house, after calling a few properties on the list and speaking with a real estate agent, that didn't even manage the property that I was asking about, the real estate agent then told me that homexchange steals ads and uses them and changes the information and makes people pay for the list.

I want the $*** back that i paid for the list.

In regards to Samantha's complaint the "real Estate" agent she spoke with does not work for us and thus does not know how we get our information. We never stated or have we ever stated we manage any of these homes. We provide rental information some exclusive through us others that are not. The rental information is kept as up to date as possible and we are constantly adding many newly available properties every day. Samantha has received and has access to what she paid for and in this case no refund will be granted. If she is having a tough time finding a place to rent she can call our office and we can try to provide additional assistance.

I've contacted the business several times and left voicemails regarding a refund. I haven't been contacted yet.
On *** I called and told the young lady I was interested in getting the service to search for homes. She said it cost $*** dollars, and that she was would be at the office til 3pm,so I could stop in. I headed down, when I arrived I told her I saw their ads in *** regarding section 8 homes for rent, but you have to purchase their book to get the address and landlord contact info. I specifically asked did they have section 8 homes in there. She said yes and that she printed a new book for next with the latest houses available. She then explained a little bit about how to use it. She then gave me my book and my online log in info. I said thanks and left. Since that day I've searched and have called landlords from the website and the book. The homes rentkwik is saying are available aren't and haven't been available for quite sometime. What bothered me the most was they had 4 homes that said they accept section 8. I called they said they don't accept it and that rentkwik takes their ads and post them to their own website and add untrue things, such as the home being available and accepting section 8. Basically the service is a scam , the information given on the website and in the book are inaccurate and untrue. The company is very misleading. I called 20 days later to tell them about my concerns and that the book was not accurate. I spoke with someone on *** who said the manager wouldn't be in til noon. I called back at noon no answer just voicemail. I left a voicemail, I still haven't received a response on that. I then called again on the *** and left a voicemail still no contact. I called today and left a voicemail around 9:39am ***.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of my $*** dollars.

In regards to *** complaint we did make contact with her prior to receiving this complaint, though we believe she may have already filed it by that point. Our normal policy, and the policy stated in our contract is no refunds.
We try and make our information as accurate as possible and we do have a number of section 8 homes available. Size, location, and price are always factors that may limit the number of properties that may work for any one individual.
Our employee after reaching out to *** was able to provide her with some information on a section 8 home and we also reached out to several other landlords, specifically trying to find one that might have something that would work for ***. We are waiting to hear back from ***, who may have something coming open. We also left messages with several other landlords. We will continue to try to help *** in any way we can though at this time can not offer a refund of the fee.
