Honda of Kingston Reviews (6)

Good morning,   I followed up on this matter regarding our customer [redacted] and it turns out she now has her registration and she should be receiving her title in the mail any day now.  She was also credited back the difference for her registration fee.  If there is anything else you need regarding this please don't hesitate to reach out to us.  Very truly yoursMark N[redacted]GSM Morehead Honda[redacted]

My name is [redacted].  I am the [redacted] of Honda of Kingston.  I have reviewed [redacted] complaint and paper work from the purchase of his car.
I would like to offer the following solution to this situation.  [redacted] paid $11,750 for the Escape.  Then added...

$2,262 from the remaining payments of a lease he was in.  Which brought the total to $14,012. If my information is correct [redacted] has driven the car approximately 20k miles, since he has taken position of the Escape.  The pay off to the Escape is approximately $10,500.  I propose [redacted] returns the Escape to Honda of Kingston.  He signs the car back to Honda of Kingston.  Honda of Kingston will pay of The Escape.  Therefore [redacted] will be relieved of all further financial obligation.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I will bring this issue to our service managers attention.  I'll email back with his findings.
Respectfully, [redacted]

Review: I purchased a used Honda Odyssey form Honda of Kingston in December of 2011. At the time of purchase I also opted to buy a service package for my car that would cover all oil changes, fluid changes and tire rotations. The car was purchased with 70,000 miles. Last week I brought the car to dealership for repair due to some noise I was hearing in the rear brakes. I was told that the car need a new transmission, specifically the torq convertor and was given an estimate of $5,300. I inquired if this was common in 2005 Honda Odysseys and was told no, not with proper maintenance. I was baffled because I have never skipped a service appointment with Honda nor have I ever taken the car elsewhere to be repaired. I inquire when the last time my transmission fluid was changed and I was told at 70,00 miles. This is when I bought the car. The car now has 120,000 miles on it. Honda of Kingston failed to change my cars transmission fluid for 50,000 miles even though my car has been in for numerous services over the past three years. This seems unacceptable given the age and mileage on my car.Desired Settlement: I'm not sure what I expect from Honda. I would like them to admit that they are at fault for the destruction of my car's transmission.

Review: I purchased a used 2008 Ford Escape on 9/**/2013 from Honda of Kingston in Kingston, NY. I dealt with Salesman [redacted] who at the time, was very reassuring and professional. In conversation at the dealership and in the Contract of Sale, the vehicle was listed as "4WD". I proceeded with the purchase since the four-wheel drive capability was a main factor in my purchase decision. I had the vehicle for approximately 8 months before attempting to trade it in, since this vehicle served as a quick in-between vehicle for me to double up payments after being flipped upside on a lease. I received my first trade-in appraisal at Honda of Kingston where they offered me significantly less (approximately $5,000 less) than what I had purchased it for just months prior. It wasn't until approximately 2 months ago from today, when Colonial Subaru, located across the street from Honda of Kingston, appraised the vehicle at approximately $6,000 (I owed $11,000 at the time of appraisal). The appraisal representative said the reason why their offer is so far off from my payout amount is because it's only a front-wheel drive SUV, and he said there is little to no market in the Northeast for this type of vehicle. I received 3 other appraisels from different dealerships and they were all within the same dollar amount. I have paid for listing the vehicle for sale myself on [redacted] to attempt to receive more money versus the trade-in but I still have issues selling it since it is not 4WD. I have attempted to contact the [redacted] at Honda of Kingston at least 5 times within the last couple weeks. I left voicemails on his machine every time and have only received one response from him saying he was going to look into the matter for me. This was two weeks ago and a number of calls later on my end, and there has been no response from [redacted] or any other member of his office since.Desired Settlement: I am requesting Honda of Kingston purchases the vehicle that they misrepresented to me for what is owed on my payout in the amount of $10,000. I would like a resolution to this matter to be completed within the next two weeks or a complaint to the NYS Attorney General will be submitted.

Sincerely,

I gave Honda of Kingston a check to hold a vehicle on May **. 2015. I was told the check would be deposited to hold the vehicle and I would be reimbursed if I chose to not purchase the vehicle. I called the next day to say I decided against purchasing the vehicle. My check was not deposited until 11 days later. It is now 35 days and I still have not received my check. The sales person keeps assuring me the check is on it's way.
