I have reviewed the work orders and spoken to all members of our staff concerning this matterWhen MrRogers came in he said he had oil leaks and that he had been to a number of garages where he had been disappointedWith that in mind our
technician went over and above and took him to the lift to show him where his car had leaks and explained to him how the leaks run from the top, over everything, making it look like everything is leaking and that we start at the top with the distributor plug and valve cover gasket, clean everything and check for further leaks laterWe advised that there may be other leaks but this was where to beginAt that time we let him know his power steering was leaking also
He asked us to go ahead with the distributor plug and valve cover gasket and declined the power steering repair
We did the work he approved and this work is guaranteed
At no time do we warranty "all leaks"We can only warranty work that we have doneI believe he misunderstood this, there would be no circumstance to falsely guaranty parts of a car that we have not touchedHow can we guarantee something we have not even fixed? He would have been told that our work is guaranteed - in his case it is the distributor plug and the valve cover gasket
When he returned at a later date we checked his car and found the valve cover gasket and cam plug to be dryOur repairs were fineOur notes indicate on that date that the power steering was leaking which he was made aware of at his first visitThat leak runs down to the oil pan and transmissionThus, the oil pan is leakingOur tech checked that area for him and saw that someone has attempted to seal it with silicone which will not work to seal a leakIt will not holdTo do this job properly with the correct products, we would have to replace the pan gasket and perform a lubeThis has nothing to do with the work we performed and as mentioned earlier, he was made aware that there were other leaks
About his comments about our pricing, the $was not just for the valve cover gasket, but rather for both the valve cover gasket AND cam plug which is not unreasonable
The oil leak he authorized us to fix is in fact fixed and under warrantyWe can absolutely fix any and every leak he has, however it is not cost effective to do thatYou work from the top down so that you don't repair anything unnecessarilyOur customers have been very happy for decades with our cost saving practicesThis is how we would take care of our personal vehicles
We sincerely regret MrRogers' upset, we will do anything within reason to change thatOur excellent reputation based on honesty and fair prices has been earned and is not something we will compromise

This business told me they cannot gaurentee an oil leak will be fixed after they charged me $They then promised it was fixed when I picked it up AND I STILL HAVE AN OIL LEAKThey then lied and told me nobody said it was fixed, but I was promised the oil leak was fixed when I arrived to pick up my carComplete dishonest business practicesI would never recommendLooks like they take care of regular customers and don't really care about new onesI wish they would have mentioned they don't gaurentee an oil leak would be fixed, I would have never taken my car thereShe then went further to say NO BUSINESS IN TOWN would gaurentee to fix an oil leak, I was thinking "what a crock, they are covering themselves because they know they overcharged me and didn't fix my oil leak"They run you in circles and talk talk talk to get themselves out of out of any faultRidiculousI would prefer to have my $back and they can keep their promises to themselves

I received your response dated August I apologize for not responding earlier but I have been out of town
I notice that our earlier response is not on this complaint page?
I am surprised that Mr*** totally negated any explanation and just said "fix my leak" as his desired resolutionI am left wondering, which leak? The leak he approved us to fix is fixed It is not leakingIs this why he is unhappy with every shop he goes to per his original complaint? There is a huge lack of understanding I thinkWith this in mind I suggest the best thing to do is to arrange a time for him to meet with the owner *** *** who is the epitome of fairness, who may be able to see just what the problem is other than the fact that there are numerous leaks as explained by three people at the shop to Mr***He would be happy to help in this situationI will have *** himself call Mr*** to set up a time
