Honest Abe Roofing called one hour before coming to the initial meeting to set an estimate for wind damage The first thing he asked was if we had turned it in to the insurance companyAnd then tried to explain how insurance companies work We have been home owners for years and I know how these things workBut it shouldn't matter what amount the insurance company gives as to what the estimate isHe canceled the meeting because my husband got called to work and would not be able to be hereI explained that I knew what we needed and even told him the infoHe said they needed both parties to be presentI don't think they wanted our business very muchI my be a "girl" but I can give and take info just as well as a "guy"! How rude of a company to think any different than that!

When it comes to taking care of you after the installation, Honest Abe does everything to avoid you.
In July 2016, we discovered a leak in my 82 year old mother's roof. Not remembering the exact date of the installation, I called Honest Abe to find out what kind of warranty they had on their work. I was first told if it was before 2012 they didn't know because dates before that were not in their new computer system. We found out on our own it was 2010.
They came out the first time and blamed the leak on a satellite bracket installation and siliconed around it.
More rain more leaking, came out again, said the frst guy missed a spot so siliconed more and said it's good.
My mother hired someone to repair the ceiling damage. He also said it looked like it was coming from the chimney area because he found water stains in the adjacent room, on the other side of the chinmey.
More rain, more leaking. Honest Abe came out again and now blaming the brick and mortar on the chimney, said they do not do masonry work. Called Honest Abe, asked to speak to Operations Manager Brian J[redacted], he was busy will call back, he never did, I had to call him back. Brian reiterated about the brick and mortar. Had masonry expert come, said chimney next to flashing is in good condition.
Called Honest Abe, asked to speak to Operations Manager Brian J[redacted], told him what masonry expert said. Was told he would get back to me, never did. I just called this morning asked to speak the Operations Manager, Brian J[redacted], he was with a customer, will call me back. It's been hours since I called, no return call. I called again asked to speak to owner because Brian did not call back. Was put on hold and Brian then took my call. Pretty much told him thanks for nothing but avoiding my 82 year old mother. He told me in an earlier conversation that he didn't want my mom having this problem as much as I did, no that was not honest. I care about my mom, he only cared because it might end up costing the company something. If he really cared this would have been taken care of months ago.
