Honest Home Repair and Renovations

Hired Honest Repairs and Renovations to install a tile floor in an entry way, kitchen, and half bath. Installation was done far from compliance with ANSI standards for tile installation. No thinset was applied under the backer board. The tiles were not back buttered. The thinset bed applied on top of the backer board to adhere the tiles to the floor was put down using a small v-notched trowel, insufficient for the size of the tile. Plastic spacers were used as shims to level tiles. All of these errors were discovered after removing the floor installed by Honest Home Repairs and Renovations. The work done by Honest Home Repairs and Renovations had to be removed due to loose and cracking tiles, along several areas of tile showing roughly 1/4" of lippage. Honest Home Repairs removed the floor but has ignored six requests for reimbursement.
