Dishonest Toms
We had issues once with Victor. He attempted to tack on an unnecessary charge(because my lady was alone), and when confronted(by me over the phone) became combative, and defensive, and ultimately we were not charged.

We continued to patron this business in good faith to do all the work on her car, however on our last trip, my lady was refused service(I was not there once again, as she was on her way to work) for buying our own parts, and asking them to do the work. However, Victor quickly noticed what was going on, and said she's been here before, we'll do the work. Afterward he explained that they are a "mom and pop" shop, and by not buying our parts there, we are "taking money" from their business. Funny, thought I was bringing you business by paying for you to work on the car?

This is where things get really underhanded. My lady was charged 129 dollars for tire re-balance, and 160(40x4) dollars for the tire change. This is literally 30 minutes of work for a 120 lb woman. Here's the kicker, it took hours. She left the house at 6:30 am made her hour commute, arrived at "honest" toms first thing(they open at 8:00 AM), didn't arrive to work till after 11 am(she works less than 20 mins from honest toms.), and they left her tire pressure sensor light on.

Called the tire shop down the road, and they quoted us 20 dollars for balancing and 20 dollars per tire to change tires.

Essentially they charged her more than double for the job, as the tire shops quote for all the work was $100.

This place is a joke. Maybe if you didn't take advantage of customers at every chance and had competitive prices, you'd have more business. "Predatory" tom's is more like it.

So, I get a call this morning, and I answer wondering who would be calling, and low and behold it is Victor with Tom the owner in the background.

Long story short I was harrassed and threatened over the review and using Victors name. Apparently because I was not there, I should not be writing the review, and I deserve to be sued for expressing my opinion.

Then Victor brings race up, and accuses us of being racist. Saying we don't like Latino people. We are a mixed race couple, I am a white and my girlfriend is Panamanian and black. This guy is projecting if you ask me.

On top of this, the owner is raising his voice in the background as this Victor fellow is berating me, talking about how I should come get a refund so he can beat me up.. This is a joke. This business should be sued and shut down.

The level of immaturity and harassment is astounding.

To whom it may concern,Firstly I have never met, spoken to, or associated with this employee Kristi as she states I "signed" something in front of her. Secondly I am unsure of why Honest Tom's is now responding to my complaint which was filed months ago and they chose not to respond or attempt to remedy this situation. Social media is a powerful tool used by consumers and businesses may not always agree with a customers comments. My intent is not to extort or do anything malicious to this business. I gave my honest experience from my perspective at this business and nothing in my comments was dishonest. I have never dealt with a situation like this with a business before and as a service member and government employee I take the accusation of extortion very seriously and hope this business would have proper evidence to back up such a claim. My statement to the Revdex.com was what I had experienced at Honest Tom's and there is nothing untruthful in that statement. I am attaching two statements from professional mechanics and business owners one of which is the shop I took the truck to immediately after getting it back to have the proper service done which should have been done in the first place if they had not misdiagnosed my vehicle. These documents were also provided to [redacted] whom concluded in an investigation that my claim was just and refunded my money. Both mechanics were provided a copy of the same invoice Honest Toms provided you and they wrote their honest professional opinions on the situation. Thank You[redacted]
