As bees are considered livestock, there are many factors that contribute to production. All delivery dates are an estimate only as many factors go into producing a nucYou have to consider the weather, among many factorsIs it to hot, cold, wet, dry, sunny, cloudy. I cannot control
mother nature!Bees are not dependent upon getting to any part of the country because of orchards bloomingTrees bloom according to the temperatures that they are exposed to in the SpringThere is no set day/time that they will bloom and you cannot raise bees according to what may bloom and when. Most nucs are produced in California. How are they to know when trees are going to bloom anywhere? It takes about weeks to get a nuc made and up to productionIt would be grand if there was a magical table that would tell us exactly when trees will bloomIt always varies with the weather.Jason ordered nucs at two different times, 11/1/and 2/15/17. Whenever there multiple orders, they are combined for pickup so the customer can get all their bees with one trip. This is the case with Jason's order. The bees are distributed by the date orderedSome of the people that ordered early, around the same time Jason did, have received their bees because that was the only order they had.We are now working on orders that were placed on or before 2/15/17. We are suppose to have a load coming in tonight, for distribution Saturday, and will be contacting people as soon as we know it will be here for sureJason is on the schedule for this load, if in fact, they bring as many bees and deliver them as I have been told.Jason states that we have trouble with our "supplier", making me believe that he really does not fully understand how bees are produced. Yes, there was a problem with getting some bees last year due to a rollover of the truck bringing them. Yes he did purchase bees from Honey Bee Ware, not the supplier, but how does any business get product if not from a supplier? And his "quality control", would he rather have bees that are not queen right and laying a good pattern, or one that has been checked out as much as humanly possible? When he says the orchard pollination is over and the bees will not make any honey this year, bees do not make much, if any honey from fruit trees. The bulk of honey is made from mid to late June thru hopefully mid August on clover, alfalfa and wild flowers. We only take orders for about 95% of what we have ordered so we have extras in case something comes up.All of our bees have had health inspections on a regular basis, as well as the other inspections we subject the bees toIf concerned about the health of our bees please call Dan ***, *** *** *** *** at ###-###-####

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Our bees were ordered in February after we learned that the other place we were going to get the bees from did not have enough available for us.  The 4 frame nuc that we had issues with were sitting out on the lawn in the sun for who knows how long before we picked them up in a corregated plastic box.   They are the ones who told us that they would hold a 4 frame nuc for us so that we didn't have to make an extra drive after we were there to pick up the 5 frame to pick up the other one the following week.  Both nucs were cared for the EXACT same way when they were in our care - it was only before we picked them up that they were cared for differently - the 5 frame was in the shade in the back of a vehicle that just arrived there when we did and the 4 frame was sitting out in the sun along with 10-15 other nucs.  We have since talked to 3 other experienced bee keepers about this issue and they said that the bees were dead before we picked them up - they told us that there is no way that it was something we did in the 45 minutes from when we picked them up from when we were going to put them into the hive box... when the other one is perfectly fine.  They told us that they suffered from heat exhaustion when they were sitting in the sun in a plastic box.  The other bee keepers that we have talked to regarding this have numerous years of experience and some of which have also worked at a commercial bee farm.I am still looking to receive a refund for this matter.Kevin [redacted]

When we get nucs in, inspect them at our bee yard for being queen right , bee quality and strength. When the bees pass this inspection, we inform customers to set up an appointment to pick up their bees, we do not require a time, just a day. We usually will not give bees out after around 11...

am for it gets to hot to transport them. If they do not set an appointment we will not have bees for them that day. We bring nucs from our bee yard according to how many we need to distribute to the customers that day plus a few extras to try to cover for the customers who do not think they have to follow the policy. All bees are inspected in the morning before bring them to the store for pickup. There are no dead nucs given out. We try to inform all customers of the danger of transporting bees in warm weather. After the bees leave our store we have no way to know what happened to them.I can tell (according to the pictures) the 4 frame nuc was a very strong colony and without proper ventilation they succumbed to heat stress. We find the most people that have problems with bees are ones that have had little to no education on how to care and take care of livestock, and are usually the last ones to order but want the bees right away-instant gratification. People who have spent the necessary time on educating themselves and learning how to take card of live beings usually do pretty well with beekeeping.Bees are only available in the spring, usually late April thru early June. Beekeepers usually order bees starting in early Fall (August) to get on the list for bees for the Spring. As far as trying to get an answer on, Facebook, for privacy issues we do not conduct business discussion on any public forum. There will be no refund as the bees were improperly transported.
