Review: I had received a garnishment on my paycheck from Honeywood Apartments last yr. They had took $500 out of my paychecks and now are sending me a letter stating I owe the same amount they garnished me for. They are trying to charge me twice for the same bill. There is also another person on this account who should be responsible for the bill as well.Desired Settlement: I would like them to quit threatening me for money that I do not owe. I have all the papers where the garnishment was taken out of my checks by my employer. I do not feel I owe that amount.

HHHunt / Honeywood Apartments filed an unlawful detainer against you for unpaid rent and damages. On 1/31/2011, we received a judgment. The principal amount of the judgment was $1,058.32. Court costs were $94 and we were awarded 6% interest from the day of the judgment. We pursue all parties on the lease when a balance is due. However, our leases hold residents jointly and severally liable, so we have the right to try to collect from one person or all parties on the lease. We never received any payment for the judgment, so we have exercised our legal right to garnish wages. We will continue our collection efforts until the full balance is paid, including the court cost and interest.
