They didn’t want to serve, they just wanted to go home!
My son had scheduled physical for going back to school. The appointment was at 4:00pm on Sep. 17, 2020. My son had after school online activity so we got to the office late where they started taking Our temperature at the door at 4:07pm. There was no one in waiting room and the lady started typing on her computer at 4:08Pm to check us in (later she said she checked us in at 4:11pm). I asked if we can get him a flu shot. They said no flu shot after 4:00pm, so I jokingly asked why 4:00pm was a magic number, they replied because it’s time to go home and “also” the med tech leaves at 4:00pm (Hmm.. I wondered Dr. can’t give a flu shot?). Anyway at 4:16pm another person by the name of April came out and said we have 10 minute late policy so they won’t be able to do a physical for my son because they already took in another person! We got there at 4:07pm (not 4:10) and no one was waiting. Even when the lady told me she checked my son in at 4:11pm (which she said with worry on her forehead after I showed disappointment - I know we checked in earlier than 4:10pm) it means we made in in for temperature check of two people by 4:10pm. No one was there after we left. If they did not lie about taking another patient in then they did not wait 10 minutes before taking someone else in. In short they did not want to serve, they wanted to go home early. School going kids that are not sick can’t make it to doctor until late afternoon! My recommendation is if the medical staff is not into serving/caring for people and going home early, they should stay home and let folks who want to care for clients come to work! You Run a medical business where u get paid handsomely for treating patients and you are not department store or restaurant who don’t get paid much and want to go home as soon as possible!
