I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The first repair job Musso completed failed (completed 11/14)The reason the line backagain (11/26) was that the trap replaced by Musso (11/14) did not have the correct pitchDue to the way Musso installed the trap, the middle of the sewer line was "bellying" and causing water to pool and drain slowly because the trap was laid lower than the middle of the lineAfter reviewing the situation, Musso stated that they needed to replace the middle of the line in order to get the proper pitchAt no time was it mentioned that the pitch would be an issueNote the sewer line had been in the ground for over yearsAfter replacing the middle of the line, Musso can back again and stated they had to replace the rest of the line! Musso then informed me after tearing up my entire backyard - a foot wide, by foot deep, by foot long hole - that they could not make the pitch to the sewerMusso then stated that it would be another $20K to complete the job Hearing this, I knew I was being scammedI called the town and village, who both told me that there should be no issue and that I should stop working with MussoI then called Erie County, who also informed me that there should be no issueI then called three other contractors, all three of which reviewed the job site AND COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT THIS HAD HAPPENED.With all said and done, Musso missed pitch by 9"This means they ran the sewer line almost a foot underneath the connection to the county!!! This is why the meeting was calledMrMusso was standoffishQuestions about why Musso did not restart the job from the house (where you are supposed to start) in order to gain enough run to properly lay the pipe were not answeredMrMusso failed to answer questions and provide any resolve besides pledging another, "quote."When MrMusso called with his quote - $17,- to fix the problem, I was flooredHearing this I suspended work and told him I would need a few days to A) call the bank and get financing and B) speak with othersMusso then had the audacity to send workers to my house - unauthorized - and then begin working again! This only added to the mess and expense! After research, I found four contractors who all stated that Musso was incorrectEach stated that the pipe could be run correctly without the excessive system proposedIn fact, each contractor stated that even if that was the case, that this aggressive system was needed, it would not cost more than $5,500; a third of what Musso was attempting to extort from meGiven this, I made the decision to kick Musso off the job and file this complaint. As an FYI, the new contractor was able to lay the pipe and hit the proper gradeIn one day too...not the month Musso spent Regards, [redacted] ***

Office Manager

Musso Plumbing & Heating, Incwas contacted by Ms*** on December 14, 2012. On December 17, we were contracted to spot repair 2' x 6' approximately 60' from vent riserWe have no record of Ms*** contacting our office again until August 8, 2017. She stated that she had
been having issues all along and had other plumbers at her home to address the issue. At that time, we sent a technician out and he snaked the clean out in the basement and pulled out roots. The problem area is under the basement floor. There is no relationship between what we did in and the problem she is now having. Ms*** was offered numerous suggestions to solve the problem however she stated that she did not want us to do any work thereOn August 20, Ms*** called our office and spoke with our General Manager and told her that she had another handyman come out and he snaked the drain and poured hot water down and it cleared the drain. The problem is there are tree roots clogging the lines and when debris gets caught on the tree roots which clogs up the line. We are sympathetic to Ms***'s situation but feel we did clear the drain but Ms*** denied the rest of the work that needs to be done. Regards, Musso Plumbing & Heating, Inc

Revdex.comBryant Woods SouthAmherst, NY 14228Attn: ***Re: Complaint ID#: ***In response to the complaint referenced above, Musso Plumbing & Heating, Incwill be issuing arefund to Ms*** in the amount of $for the diagnostic fee.The customer requested service
because her hot water tank was not getting hot and it had not beencleaned in approximately yearsOur technician arrived on site and assessed the situationThe bestcourse of action at that time was for the tech to contact the manufacturer's customer service departmentto determine the meaning of the error codeAfter spending time with customer service, it wasrecommended that the gas valve be replaced, however that solution was not cost effective so we alsogave her the option of replacing the entire unitGiven that we spent an hour and twenty minutes onsite, we felt that a diagnostic fee was warranted.Regardless, we are happy to issue a refund to Ms*** and apologize for any confusion.Regards,David B***Office Manager
