In regards to this complaint, No one requested a quote in advance due to the truck blocking a roadwayHad they requested a quote that would have been the same amount as billedI do not know where or what circumstances this person had encountered towing services in the past however I doubt that they have ever had a tractor trailer combination pulled any distance for $100-$dollarsMost companies are a base price of $per hour billed from the time the truck leaves the shop till the time it returns with a one hour minimumWe do not bill this way, we bill per services renderedAs for the chain fee, Chains were required on all state highways at the time of towThis did not occur on state highwayThis was on a country streetThe fee is in place to cover abwear and tear caused by pulling large loads up hills where traction is poorPer parkdale towing giving a quote of $300.00, that is the amount that would have been charged for a passenger vehicle which is all parkdale towing is equipped forThe only other company in the area with a heavy wrecker capable of assisting would have been in the same price rangeThat company is [redacted] I urge you to check with them for a price comparisonJob details were: tractor with 53' box trailerPassenger side drive ties were off the road in soft mud with no chains onDriver side on a sheet of ice with Chains onTotal gross weight of approximately 45-50, poundsIt needed to be pulled between 100-get to the top of the hillTheir contact number is 541-490-Our company is most often the cheapest in the area for all forms of servicesI do feel for the gentleman that had to pay this bill however he should have had his chains on prior to attempting that hillAs he stated himself, chains were required yet he did not have them onHer also have the go ahead for the work to be performed with out asking for any form of a quote from our company
