Over a month ago I accepted Hoosier's proposal to put in a mini-split ductless heat pump in my home. Two weeks ago they were out to install it (on July 28th) and ran into an issue which required a part to be ordered. Two days after that they called and said the part was on it's way UPS. I called a few days later and got nothing but an answering service.

Our big question/issue: is this part is in, and if so, when can we get it installed?

In the last week: I've left 3 telephone messages at Hoosier and my wife left one- all unresponded to; we've called 4 different telephone numbers we have for their office and representatives, and all go directly to voice mail. My wife and I even went to their office last Thursday morning at 10:00 to talk to them personally and the building was closed/locked with all their service trucks in the parking lot. I emailed their sales representative, but that message immediately came back undelivered (it worked just fine with 3 sets of exchanges before this; that message is copied at the end), and I sent another email to them through their website. All of this we've done a week and a half after hearing from them last. In my last message. If they were on vacation all last when I was trying to reach them- 1. they never told me, and 2. it's now almost Wednesday of the following week and I've still heard nothing.

3 days from now it will have been 5 weeks since we first told them the job was theirs, and we've been without air conditioning in a section of our home this whole time (our bedroom). We've already paid for the job in full.

All we want is to know if the part is in and when they can install it.

Here is a copy of the message I sent the sales rep./office on August 4th (6 days ago)-
"Jim- to get to the point, my patience is very thin. In 2 more days it will have been 4 weeks since we accepted your proposal (an email I sent the afternoon of July 9th). In my mind, a reasonable time frame to complete this was 2 to 2 1/2 weeks at the most (since you told me it would take a week to get the mini split in, plus I figured another week or so for install time). I understand things come up and go wrong, but a job this small should not still be uncompleted after nearly 4 weeks. (One thing- it shouldn't have taken a week to realize the Frigidaire unit wasn't in stock.)

Right now we're waiting on a part for the Samsung mini split to come in. Last Thursday I was told the part was being shipped UPS. This morning I left a message with your company and called in two more times trying to ask if it had come in, but there was no answer or call back to my message.

Is the part in? If so, can someone come out tomorrow to finish the work? The job looks like it's 99% done (the two guys who put it in, by the way, did a great job). Thank you"
