I used C&W plumbing a couple years ago and decided to write this review as I'm really surprised at their Revdex.com rating and the fact that neighbors seem to highly recommend them I guess because they do resolve issues directly such that folks haven't filed a complaint with Revdex.com, however, the issue I had should never, ever have happened I called C&W because water was leaking from the bottom of my driveway I thought it could be my water line as that had happened in a previous house The employee that came out said that it was my water line (although if the line were under the driveway, it wouldn't be a straight shot from the meter to my house At the time they first came out, we could see the meter was running thus there was a leak The employee did find and repair a leak in my back faucet, but he said the meter was still running (it was my mistake not to double check that, but I don't expect people to outright lie like that) They proceeded to replace the water line to my house A couple things made me suspicious1) once they dug the trench for the new line, I could see that the old line didn't head anywhere near the driveway 2) I didn't see any wet soil at all near the trench they dug After the new line was placed, water was still leaking from my driveway so C&W said to the call the town (and the leak was indeed from the city to my meter), but C&W still insisted there had been a leak in my original line I told them I did not believe that was the case and a supervisor came out to test the line I was a bit puzzled as the employee was supposed to cap the end of my old line where they had cut it to put in the new line, but the "cap" he used was a faucet that he had covered with dirtBeing the curious person I am, I dug it up and found that the faucet was open, which of course would have resulted in a test of the line failing I closed the faucet and reburied it and obviously, the test passed *** next day I had already disputed the charge on my credit card, so wasn't due a refund and the supervisor wasn't *** about that since it's my understanding that they get charged a fee for that Of course, rather than apologize, he just said that people make mistakesNot really - this was a case of a person outright lying and cheating me and management treating me as if I was the liar
