*** *** purchased her dresses through a retailerShe did not purchase the dresses directly from The Dessy Group. This retailer has a wholesale account with usShe needs to contact her retailer (Le Salon) and work through themWe have no way of looking up her order in our system as the
retailer placed the order through our wholesale division with their own unique purchase order informationIf indeed the wrong dresses were manufactured we would gladly rectify the situation, but we must work through this retailer as we will need to look at the original order placed etc. I believe we have communicated this several times to the consumer

We have been in contact with both *** and his wife trying to assist them***'s wife placed an order for a special order dress on our site without consulting our size chart They both admitted this in their email correspondence and on the phoneHis wife was also pregnant and unsure of what
size she would be when she needed to wear said dressAs per our terms of purchase on the site, these dresses are non-returnable and non-exchangeable because they are cut-to-orderSeveral months later she contacted us saying the dress did not fit and that she needed a larger dressWe offered to make an exception for her and take this dress back with a restocking feeWe did not hear from her for several weeksThen her husband *** contacted us asking us to credit him back for the dress when his wife's friend placed the original order on our site with her account and credit cardWe kindly explained that we are unable to apply a credit to another accountThe credit must be applied to the original form of paymentAt this, he became very belligerent and accused us of trying to scam the consumer by having 'non-standard' sizesWe clearly direct the consumer to consult our sizechart when ordering the dressesWe even provide a video with instructions on how to take measurementsThey did not consult the sizecharts, they ordered based on what she wears in every day street clothingplease see my response below, when *** threatened to go to the media and the Revdex.comHe continually wanted to speak on the phone and not in written formatWe did everything we could to help this consumer and he was completely unreasonable .***, I am happy to call and speak to you tomorrow, but I would like to keep the correspondence in written format as wellYou have stated that you have filed a complaint with the Revdex.com and are planning or have already contacted media outletsI will need an audit trail of our conversations to present to both agencies. We take our customer service very seriously at The Dessy GroupAllison has done everything and made every attempt to try and assist your wifeI will chronicle said steps below: The original order was placed 2/**/by consumer *** *** with a credit card and biaddress in Boston, MAThe two dresses ordered are special order dresses, meaning, they are cut to orderThese dresses are final saleThey are not exchangeable or returnable and this is spelled out in our terms of service in multiple locations on our websiteThe terms of service are listed on every dress style page and on checkout as well as in our FAQ section here: *** . *** (your wife) contacted Allison in April by phone explaining that she had just had a baby and that the dress did not fit*** *** had ordered *** style in midnight in size Allison explained that the dress ordered was a special order item and was technically not returnable but that she would escalate the case to her supervisorShe also asked *** to send her current bust, waist and hip measurements as well as pictures of *** in the size dress front and backAllison did not hear anything from *** until days later and still there were no measurements submitted or pictures sent. Allison informed *** that we would restock the original dress for a $restocking fee as an accommodation but that we did not have enough time to make a new special order dress and that *** would have to choose from one of our in-stock dressesAllison even sent her suggestions for styles available in midnight. Allison then received your request to assist with alterations and or credit the dress back for a ‘store credit’ to be applied to the new purchaseAllison explained that we cannot issue a store creditOur terms of service and return policy very clearly state that refunds are issued to the original credit card used for the purchaseSee one example of this policy listed here: ***You spoke to Allison on the phone and she repeatedly explained that we are unable to refund another consumer for a purchase on someone else’s cardShe then escalated the ticket to me. In your response to my email explaining that we cannot credit you for *** *** purchase, that we can only issue the credit back to *** *** credit card, you mention that our sizes are variableWe post the dress specs for each and every style on our siteWe offer dresses in myriad of shapes and stylesFull skirts, straight skirts, nautral waistlines, empire waistlines, strapless etcI myself can be one size in a slim fitted dress and be a size smaller in a dress that has a more forgiving hip and fuller skirtThis is why we post these sizing tools and dress specsWith your wife’s current measurements a size would not fit in any of our stylesDependent on styling and cut of the garment I would suggest a or a But once again, I would need to know which style she was choosing before determining the best size as you must take into account the cut of the garment. In regard to your statement: ‘…and plan to speak to the media about this terrible issues of you selling dresses that are smaller than the standard sizes at any common store and the psychological impact this has on your customersThis situation has caused a tremendous amount of stress for ***, particularly after having a babyI do not feel you have provided us with appropriate customer service or help and is simply not fair.’ I find this offensive in the extremeWe pride ourselves on helping our consumersTo assert that we do not adhere to ‘standard’ sizes is a completely unreal assertionI myself wear different sizes in *** *** *** *** ***Many times a different sizes in the same brand depending on styleWe post our sizing information prominently and instruct the consumer to measure themselves and choose based on this posted data. I feel that there is no way forward at this point as you have already filed complaint against usWe have made every effort to help *** choose a new dressWe have made exceptions to our own policies to try and assist you but you have gone to the Revdex.com and are threatening to go to the media and plan to insinuate that we inflect psychological trauma upon our consumersAll of this because we cannot credit you for a purchase made on someone else’s credit card.
