I did a half-day rate at this job which that means half-day rate is four hours we did five hours and busted my stump grinder on a stump on this property that cost $damage to my machine and days out of work to wait on parts for the machine to come and I told them I wasn't comfortable and grinding the rest of the stump risking to bring my machine again stump was busting off big chunks do you do riding I would pay back the $for the stump that's not good enough they're wanting $because that's what other companies charge and at this point I already did the job for free and lost $part for my machine breaking on their stump and got an extra hour work out to me for free and going on my Facebook and posting lies posting lies to the Revdex.com not telling the whole truth I already did enough for them for free I'm not giving them no more so you post what you want about me I'm the one that's ripped off year thank you sincerely David H [redacted] 8-21-

He still owes us for 1/cords of wood - not 1/a cord! Numerous attempts were made to Hoover Tree Service - we did Not want Dave to forget what he had delivered and what he had Not delivered, and OVER and OVER he kept promising to deliver the wood, which clearly he NEVER DIDHe may have forgotten what he delivered, but we have not, and we will file a complaint with the local police department next, if things are not resolved We may also take this to the local news outlets He still owes $- Not $whateverAND Dave did NOT say he would send our money in the mail when he did the payroll - he said that he would put our money in the mail "First thing in the morning." That was back on the 13th of APRILIt is now May What? Does he only work on his payroll ONCE a MONTH???? How does he keep any employees?? IF Dave only owes us for 1/a cord - then WHY did he claim to pay his buddy $to deliver wood out to the house? He claimed on the 13th of April that he was going to have to call his buddy and find out "where the wood was delivered to" since it was not delivered here, and he STRESSED that his buddy must have "delivered our wood to the wrong address" and he PAID HIM $to deliver it hereWHY would he pay him $to deliver us wood if he owes us $-(learn to do math Dave - $divided by is $- NOT $And I ONLY point this out because we are owed $187.50!) We have the cancelled check and phone records of all the calls that were made to Hoover Tree Service - and if we have to take this to small claims court Hoover will be paying more than the $owed to usSo yes, and this is a resounding YES, we are rejecting your response

I hired him to supply a bucket truck for an electrician to do overhead workThe truck did not show up and he did not have the decency to let me know that he was not comingI had to pay electrician for down time and reschedule the jobHe would not return calls and I'm simply trying to warn others!

We are moving here from Iowa and purchased land in Ohio to build a new home We hired Hoover Tree Service in Feburary to clear trees along our pond [redacted] said he could do the job and clean every thing up in days for $1200.00/day After a couple of months of not finishing the job, excuses after excuses he said he needed another day and another $ We paid all his bill before the job was completed and he promised he would remove all remaining logs and brushSeveral months have passed and the job was never completed I would not recommend this business to anyoneHe cannot be trusted

I owe them 1/a cordThat total amounts of $I will mail them a check for that amount when I do payroll as I told them

Had them cut down some trees around the house they did a great job on getting them down safely and clean up was great I would hire Hoover Tree for any tree work in future Thank you MrHoover

He charges by the hour, $150/hrHe completed MAYBE 20% of the work then never returnedTons of excuses for a two week delayIt was raining, the truck was broken, etcWhen I asked him when he would arrive to complete the job, he said he wasn't coming to my house to complete it until he got more projects in the area to make it "worth his while" to run the cherry picker truckHe had been paid, so I stopped payment on the check Once he found out, he texted me, threatening me with aggressive textsI said I would write another check after he completed the workHe finally showed up after sending more aggressive textsAfter completing the work, he walked up to me, took the check out of my hand, flicked his cigarette in the yard, and drove offInwould NOT have felt safe with him here if I were aloneI had two large male friends with me as support I would NOT recommend this serviceNot safe or trustworthy, and did shoddy work at best

We contacted the owner, Mr. Hoover at the end of day (they were working at the neighbors). The next morning, Mr. Hoover and two crew members cut down several trees in a tree line, cleared and shredded the massive tangle of japanese honeysuckle and brambles, and then used a blower and rakes to clear the lawn of ALL debris. Absolutely recommend them.

I did a half-day rate at this job which that means half-day rate is four hours 595 we did five hours and busted my stump grinder on a stump on this property  that cost $700 damage to my machine and 30 days out of work to wait on parts for the machine to come  and I told them I wasn't...

comfortable and grinding the rest of the stump risking to bring my machine again stump was busting off big chunks do you do riding I would pay back the $40 for the stump  that's not good enough they're wanting $100 because that's what other companies charge and at this point I already did the job for free and lost $700 part for my machine breaking  on their stump and got an extra hour work out to me for free and going on my Facebook and posting lies posting lies to the Revdex.com not telling the whole truth I already did enough for them for free I'm not giving them no more  so you post what you want about me I'm the one that's ripped off year thank you sincerely David H[redacted] 8-21-17

He still owes us for 1 1/2 cords of wood - not 1/2 a cord!  Numerous attempts were...

made to Hoover Tree Service - we did Not want Dave to forget what he had delivered and what he had Not delivered, and OVER and OVER he kept promising to deliver the wood, which clearly he NEVER DID. He may have forgotten what he delivered, but we have not, and we will file a complaint with the local police department next, if things are not resolved.  We may also take this to the local news outlets .  He still owes $187.50 - Not $67 whatever. AND  Dave did NOT say he would send our money in the mail when he did the payroll - he said that he would put our money in the mail "First thing in the morning." That was back on the 13th of APRIL. It is now May 12. What? Does he only work on his payroll ONCE a MONTH???? How does he keep any employees?? IF Dave only owes us for 1/2 a cord - then WHY did he claim to pay his buddy $75 to deliver wood out to the house? He claimed on the 13th of April that he was going to have to call his buddy and find out "where the wood was delivered to" since it was not delivered here, and he STRESSED that his buddy must have "delivered our wood to the wrong address"  and he PAID HIM $75.00. to deliver it here. WHY would he pay him $75.00 to deliver us wood if he owes us $62.50 -(learn to do math Dave - $375 divided by 6 is $62.50 - NOT $67.50. And I ONLY point this out because we are owed $187.50!) We have the cancelled check and phone records of all the calls that were made to Hoover Tree Service - and if we have to take this to small claims court Hoover will be paying more than the $187.50 owed to us. So yes, and this is a resounding YES, we are rejecting your response.

We are moving here from Iowa and purchased land in Ohio to build a new home. We hired Hoover Tree Service in Feburary to clear trees along our pond. [redacted] said he could do the job and clean every thing up in 2 days for $1200.00/day. After a couple of months of not finishing the job, excuses after excuses he said he needed another day and another $1200.00. We paid all his bill before the job was completed and he promised he would remove all remaining logs and brush. Several months have passed and the job was never completed. I would not recommend this business to anyone. He cannot be trusted.

It was $125 a cord he ordered 3 cords. I brought him 2 1/2 cords. I owe him 1/2 cord which is $67.50. I was going to pay my buddy $75 to cover gas for delivering the 1/2 cord of wood. I am not paying anymore than what I owe which is 1/2 cord or $67.50 I owe nothing more and im not paying for more than I owe. If u have a canceled check u got 2 1/2 cords for free so you dont even need a payment or wood from me at this point. You r obviously trying to get something for nothing and that is not how u do things. I do not appreciate the threats. Also my employees are none of your concern so stick to your complaint. I regularly charge $165  a cord I gave it to you for $125. I am not paying more than what I owe. From what I read of your response you handled it on your own by cancelling the check and keeping my wood. So what is the purpose of the complaint?

I hired him to supply a bucket truck for an electrician to do overhead work. The truck did not show up and he did not have the decency to let me know that he was not coming. I had to pay electrician for down time and reschedule the job. He would not return calls and I'm simply trying to warn others!

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The original agreement was for him to remove the tree and grind the stump. The price was set for the services agreed upon prior to his machine breaking. His machine breaking was not our fault but a condition of being in his line of work. Nothing we did resulted in his machine breaking. Weather it be he did not use the correct equipment to handle the job or operator error it does not change the fact that he agreed to remove tree and grind stump for said price. I have multiple text messages as well as recorded phone calls stating he would come finish the job that he agreed to do as soon as his machine was fixed. I also have multiple threating texts that were received after posting a honest review of him not finishing a job. Given that there were threats I did not want him back on my property and just wanted another company to finish the job he did not. That costs is $100. It may have only been a $40 job with him but its not my fault he did not do it and we have had to wait 2 months as well as endure threats. The only acceptable solution is for the stump to be gone which will cost $100 to have another company do.
Regards,

We are still owed $187.50 - not $67.50. Therefore, we will be moving forward to our next course of action. Thank you for your attempts to help us resolve this matter.
