Steve has spoken with the customer and the issue has been settled

Nu-Sash of Indianapolis sent a representative to Ms***s residence to inspect her roof She was told the issue was due to her neighbor's tree and all the limbs that had fallen from it onto her roof We also understand another local home improvement company offered handyman services
free for a day in exchange to listening to their sales pitch This is where all her "problems" originated This other home improvement company is trying to sell her services and products

The response from NuSash is a complete lie! I have never been told that they were not to refund any portion of what we paid to themAll accounts mentioned in my complaint are completely trueWhenever I went into the office and asked about the letter to the owner, Jennifer would state that he has received and readWhen I asked about the refund she thought it was $10,and it was not and I corrected her in stating it was $3,(10%)I asked is she knew if MrM*** was planning on contacting me regarding this letter and she stated she was not sure what he was planning on doingNever did anyone state that they had no intention of issuing a refund and it surely should not come from a front office person. NuSash is utterly wrong in the way they treat their clientsPoor workmanship is not the way to go and surely poor relations with the customer is not either. The electrician, himself stated he was not able to obtain a permit until his license was renewed and then not being bonded at the time. He stated this when he went to get the permit, after he had completed the wiring of the sunroomThe mudding did have to be redone and the room did have to be repainted and the room did and may still leak. Steve did have to have a guy come out and fix the gutterThe door did have to be replacedThe electrician did have to have an HVAC guy come out and properly install the Heat/Air unit. So, all true and documented.Rather than stating everything your customer said was not true, you should try working with that customerThat is what builds relations which builds future clients

NuSash is sending a representative to the *** household this week to address the flashing issue The rest of the roof was replaced with quality materials and workmanship

We will not be issuing a refund and have explained this to Mrs*** on several occassions The work was performed to a high standard and the "issues" she is stating are non existent

The warranty was issued with the understanding our office down in that part of Indiana would remain operational.  The office has closed in the 20+ years since she ordered her windows from Nu-Sash.  We fully explained over the phone the costs that would be associated with her repair, she...

was not happy with the costs but agreed and asked for us to come to her residence.  Upon arrival and after completing the measurement she balked at paying the agreed upon rate of $160.00.  After much argument on her part, the manager stated to her we would be willing to waive the return trip charge IF she would be willing to wait until we had another repair in the area.  We further explained we had no way of gauging when that would be and it could be as long as a year or as short as a week.  She agreed to wait stating she was not in a great hurry for the window.  She was never told to not call the office.  She in fact has called the office on a regular date.

This customer is being taken care of by the manufacturer of the windows.  There is nothing further on our part to do.

The businesses response is far from adequate. This has gone on for over a year and we have received similar communications with empty promises of resolution. The response given by the business is vague with a pacifying  tone and almost insulting.  There was no evident effort in acknowledging the complaint, no accountable timeline mentioned, or any firm proposal of resolution. Actually the message gave me an unsettling feeling that the business is deciding between resolving the issues or preparing for a legal fight. I may be, and I am hoping that I am,interpreting the message wrong due to my families current frustration level with this situation.

We are in the process of working on this.  Our service manager is on vacation and will be back in a week.  We will meet to discuss this issue and see how we want to move forward.

[My roof was NOT replaced with quality workmanship.  If it was quality workmanship, my roof wouldn't be rotting from the inside out.  A business shouldn't be able to just "say" a roof has quality workmanship.  They STILL have not spoken to the 1/12 roof pitch and the wrong use of shingles instead of rolled roof, the placement of vertical (rather than horizontal) plywood, and the lack of spacer clips between plywood sheets.  It seems I'm the only one even using any kind of "construction lingo."  Why doesn't NuSash speak to those SPECIFIC issues?  Is NuSash saying that shingles are okay on a roof with a 1/12 pitch?  Are they saying it's okay to place plywood vertically and not horizontally and that spacer clips aren't even needed.? Three reputable companies educated me on what the work SHOULD have entailed, and NuSash is completing ignoring that and just saying, "Hey, we do good work."  Three quite reputable companies have said they did not, and NuSash refuses to even speak on those issues. Where is the professionalism there?  Can they not use construction lingo?  Do they understand "roof pitch?" Is there a contractor that Revdex.com would like to send as a fourth independent evaluation?  I am more than willing to allow that.  The more information and expertise, the better.  I am quite concerned for other senior citizens who may do business with this organization.  NuSash is not welcome on my property.  I am not inviting them to fix the flashing on my house.  I will hire another company to do that.  I reiterate, NuSash is not welcome on my property.  I am simply asking for $5,000 so I can have the work on my garage redone by a company who knows they cannot put shingles on a roof with a 1/12 pitch, while also ignoring all the rules for placing plywood. Thank you.
