I still had no way of knowing I had a late payment and my credit was being dingedObviously Hopewell Credit Union is not "here to help" as the only way I found out about this was a mortgage broker pre-approving me for a house

The date of 12/8/2017 reflects the date it was cut, not the date it was received. The date it was received and posted at Hopewell was Monday, 12/11/2017. I was not aware when Hopewell posted my payment. The attached document shows that I saw the payment was sent 12/8/17, which is within the 10 day grace period.

Friday, 12/8/2017. This check was mailed from Hickory, NC and we posted the item on Monday, 12/11/2017. This would be past the 10 day grace period noted in your assessment. Regarding the credit report, we verified that the two payments were more than 30 days late and were reported accurately to the credit bureau.
