There is no code that we could have included on our claims that would have allowed the patient's claims to be paid at a better rate by his insurance. We were simply out of network with his plan. With full knowledge of this, the patient chose to continue with his care at our office for many months. No amount has been added to the patient's bills. He has only been billed for the services that were not paid by his insurance. We do not add interest or any other fees to past due balances.
