August 12, 2014Dear [redacted] ***,I, regret having to respond to this complaintThis is my response to the complaint ID [redacted] as follows:I arrived at my business location after the incident, and promptly addressed the issue with another business person present, the owner of the [redacted] , located next door.I listened to the complaint by the customer, and assured them that action would be taken against the alleged individuals named.Myself and the owner of the [redacted] offered the individuals drinks, and also to refund any monies spent, with a free meal or meals, they agreed to have a jumbo iced tea w/lemonade.Under the Fair Labor and Standards Act I am not compelled to dismiss or punish a person until they have had a fair and impartial hearingThe employees were informed of their rude and ridiculous conduct and actions, and told of the impact that it would have on the businessThe following week all concerned employees were given three days furlough without pay.It is greatly appreciated that the parties involved took this issue to a professional level for resolution.Regards,Richard S [redacted] Horace & Dickies Seafood

Review: I arrived at Horace & Dickies on Friday July 25th at approximately 6:10 p.m. with my mom to get sum fish. The line was long & hanging out the door. During of time of waiting in line I hear a female voice yell out "FISH ONLY STEP INSIDE". At the time me & my mom were ordering together & she wanted a side order so we just stayed in line. I will say about 5 minutes later we realized wecan order separate because I ddidn't want a side order. I begin to proceed into the restaurant and I repeat to 1 young lady whom was the manager "Did u say its a FISH ONLY line"? She replied yes you can step over to that side. On that side was a young lady bu the name of BRITTANY whom replied very nasty "I SAID THAT OVER 20MINUTES AGO". My response was "I WASNT IN HERE 20 MINUTES AGO". She gave me a mean look & went on to proceed to help the next customers. I said out long that this why I like to deal with men because they dont give you all this attitude. At that moment the cashier a young lady named "SHAE" yelled outside to a gentlemen "AHHH, U GOT A SPECIAL REQUEST". She only wants men making her food. I then realize she was being sarcastic and she was stirring at me in a harsh way. I asked her "WHY ARE U LIKING AT ME IN SUCH A WAY". She replied "CAUSE U LOOKING AT ME". All of this happening while others customers are standing right in the store. From that point on she begin to talk rude and disrespectful to my mom asking her "WHERE DOES SHE WORK" because she hadon medical scrub. Next it was back to me saying such things as I need to get my hair done, my purse is fake, and I was a scrag all while behind the counter of a BUSINESS. In all my years on this earth I leave never been so disrespected & they disrespected my mom right in front of me. I asked the manager for the owners number (Mr. DICKIE) in which as we found a lot was a fake number to BRITTANY & SHAE aunt. When I asked the manager their names she refused to tell me. I had to get their names from another associate. The young lady that answered the phone said she was MR. DICKIE daughter but when we finally spoke to MR. DICKIE & told him about the service he said it wasn't his daughter. He was also very NONCHALANT towards me and my moms frustration. I asked him what would be done to these young ladies for giving such disrespect. I told him they needed to b suspended for promoting his business as such. The daughter when we spoke to her said they would be suspended for a few days. I rode past this afternoon and BRITTANY is at work. I am very disappointed at the service that me and mom received at this establishment & the fact that MR. DICKIE dont do anything about it. We weren't offered our money back, a complimentary meal or anything just a hand shake & thank you for letting me know what happened.Desired Settlement: I would like to see BRITTANY & SHAE suspended or terminated of that company
