Thank you for your assistance with this ***er. We received a mailed copy of your letter last Thursday. *** from Horizons Grounds called *** on Wednesday and he was unable to return the class due to work, so I called *** back on the afternoon of Wednesday, Sept 30. He was gracious and asked how the problem could be correct. I told him that we needed what rock/dirt is left in our drive removed and that we would like some good replacement rock. I would need to follow back up with *** on the amount, as I did not know. I stated I would call him back in a few days with that information. On that phone conversation *** said they would remove what was in our drive. They were in Norfolk that day on a job with the machine they would need to remove the rock and were hoping to finish, but that it might be Thursday. I stated that was fine and that I understand with the incoming rain and storm last weekend, that it may be Monday before they were able to get there. That was fine. I was not able to call *** back until Tuesday of this week to follow up on the amount of replacement rock that we needed. I left all information on the voicemail and left my contact number. As of this morning when I left for work, the original pile of rock/dirt is still sitting in my drive. I pulled your letter received last week and noted that it stated we were to respond within days if there was no solution. So, I am responding for that reason. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance. I can be reached at home today at *** after 1pm. Thank you, *** *** (*** *** ***

After severe tree damage from a recent storm, I am so glad Horizon came to my rescue. I was referred by a relative and could not ask for better! I received at least 25 business cards at my door, many trying to take advantage of the bad situation many were in. Horizon was fair, professional, prompt and thorough. If you need tree work, you can't find better people to deal with.

Review: We contracted with this company to for materials and installation of a paver patio at our home. We were invoiced $7,500 for an initial deposit which represents 50% of cost of the project. We were invoiced 5/19/2016 and paid the same day. Our payment cleared and then all communications from the company ended. We inquired on numerous occasions when the work would be done. They did not respond at all initially. Then after two weeks we received a voicemail that they would be out the following week to start work. They never showed and then again no work either via email or phone. We finally emailed and called to tell them that since they were completely non-communicative that we wanted our deposit back and no longer wished to deal with their company. We received no response and when we finally were able to speak with the Business Manager of the company she indicated she had no idea of when we could get our deposit. She said we needed to speak with the person who gave us the initial estimate and had no heard from since. When asked for his direct phone number (since he would not respond via email) she said she did not have it. When asked if he even still worked there she said, after a long pause " I am going to say yes". When asked if there was anyone else who could help me in any way, she responded no.Desired Settlement: We want our $7,500 refunded in full

Review: I ordered 12 tons of 1"-3" River Rock from Horizon at a charge of $25.00 a ton with free delivery if 6 or more tons were purchased. After spreading approximately 4-5 tons of the rock it became evident that there was more dirt than rock at the bottom of the pile. After numerous phone conversations, we determined this is not the product I ordered nor was advertised. I was told this was second hand rock and it was selling for the price because of this. I was not told up front this was second hand rock. I made the request to have what was left removed. We agreed the seller would have it removed by the afternoon of September 18th, 2015 and would replace the rock. Here is where the problem starts. They have yet to remove the rock, and today I was told it would not be removed. Additionally, until the old rock/dirt is removed, I have no place to put new rock. I understand they may take a lose on this transaction, but the product they delivered was not what was purchased. Additionally, I was told it would be picked up and now they are saying no. We have come to an impasse and I need help finding a solution.Desired Settlement: There are several options as I see it:

1) Seller needs to remove existing product and replace it with advertised product I purchased; 1"-3" River Rock.

2) I am willing to have seller remove what is on property and replace with half of what is left with no refund (i.e. ~3 tons)

3) Remove what is left and refund half the cost for unusable product that was delivered (i.e. 6 tons for a total of $150.00)
