Response: The original repair was completed in AugustThe customer took the equipment and used it, he did not inform us that it "stalled and quit on its first use after returning home"However he did bring it back in because it was having the same problems, but it was weeks laterWe repaired it
once again at no charge, and again the customer took the equipment and used itHe did not call and tell us that after the second repair, "it stalled and quit"The customer called the second week of October and stated that he was having the same issueI spoke to the mechanics about what had happened and what work they had previously performed on the machine, my head mechanic stated that the only solution was to completely change out the partWhen I called the customer to inform him, I told him that he would be charged for the part and not the laborSent on: 10/19/12:12:PM

Delays are legitimate.  It is a 27 mile drive one way from my home. I do not always have a trailer available.  My work schedule makes it difficult to get there before closing during the week, which means I must wait until the weekend unless making special arrangements.  I appreciate that Horizon took a second look at my mower.  In any case, should anyone who spent 190 dollars to have a mower repaired, and spent the time to get it to the service center twice, be satisfied if it can not be used and displays the exact same symptoms as it did before it was taken for repair the first time.  159 dollars in parts plus 75 dollars in labor = 234 dollars for a proper repair, a price I would have gladly paid the first time to have the mower repaired properly.  234 dollars - 190 dollars = 44 dollars.  I would have been satisfied with paying the difference, but that was not an option.  My father and I had been customers of Horizon over the last several years and I had anticipated a different response.  The money is no longer of concern.
