Horizon Moving Systems

This company quoted my move at $3,200. I walked through house and identified every item with them to get that quote. They agreed to come on a Thursday, so I booked a flight to my new location for next day. They then said they would be there on Friday morning. They got there at 11PM Friday night. The 3 movers were all under 30 and said they had been up for 45 hours. They brought a truck that was too small and left a third of the items quoted, then said the charge would be $9,000.

After threatened legal action we negotiated down to $5,700. However, when furniture was unloaded the following was broken :

Bedroom Armoire was scratched. The TV for it was split in half. Office desk was scratched and leg broken. The second bedroom dresser and TV cabinet were both split in half. The daybed was chipped and scratched and a two drawer dresser is missing. Washing machine was damaged.

Depending on resolution of these problems I am still debating legal action. This was by far the worse moving company and business I have ever dealt with for any personal service.

My employer recently relocated their corporate office to another city. Horizon came out within 2 days of every call made to them as there were a number of change orders, they were always professional and courteous even in the midst of the constant change of expectations! When they delivered the office furniture, they were a few men short, yet the crew stayed worked as long as it took and never faltered in their great "can and will do" attitude! I would recommend them to everyone!
