At this time, I have been...

contacted directly by Horizon Relocation Inc regarding complaint ID [redacted], however my complaint has NOT been resolved because:
Though our furniture was finally delivered it was in shambles and the driver showed up alone and hired two individuals off the street to offload the furniture to our apartment.  This business was rude, difficult to talk with anyone that would tell up the truth on ther whereabouts of our furniture.

Review: The problems I have with this company cover so many of the complain categories I wouldn't even know where to begin. Dealing with Horizon has been an absolute nightmare from the beginning. My family just relocated to [redacted], ** from [redacted], **. We got quotes from several companies, and decided on Horizon after my husband was quoted $1300 per 500 cubic feet of space. We provided an inventory of all of our belongings. We called the salesperson, [redacted], that my husband dealt with several times to express concern that we would be well over the 500 cubic feet. [redacted] assured us that the movers find a way to make things fit and fold things down and not to worry. We've never moved before and they do this for a living so we trusted [redacted]'s judgment. We were told that insurance on our belongings was included as well as warehouse storage for 30 days. We did not have a delivery address at the time so [redacted] told my husband they would store everything down in [redacted], ** and the truck with our belongings would probably beat us down to [redacted]. The pickup was to take place the day before [redacted] (11/**/14). We were told the movers would be there between [redacted] and [redacted]. We received a call at [redacted] that because of inclement weather, the truck would be late and they would keep us informed. We received another call at [redacted] saying the roads opened up and the truck would be there shortly. The driver called at [redacted] to say they would be there at [redacted]...they did not show up until after [redacted]. They began loading boxes, had 4 workers (3 of which were clearly undocumented workers) and started taking apart our furniture. According to the contract, they put everything back together at delivery. The foreman that came for pickup immediately told my husband and I that we were over the 500 cubic feet. We asked if he could tell by how much (figuring they do this every day and he would have some idea) and he told us that he wouldn't know until everything was loaded on to the truck. By the time [redacted] rolled around, we had to last minute book a hotel because we have a ** month old that needed to go to bed and we planned on being able to stay in our home that night, but there is no way that I would be able to put her to sleep with them packing up our room. I didn't expect them to be 12 hours late, with zero apology. The movers did not finish until [redacted] at which point they tell my husband that we are over by double! Being the middle of the night, the night before [redacted] we couldn't just tell them to unload the truck. The foreman then tells my husband that if he offers a decent enough tip for the workers he will shave off cubic feet to lower our total. We found a permanent address on December *, 2014 and my husband called on the [redacted] to call the company and schedule pickup. They tell him it will go through dispatch and we will get a call later that day. Supposedly they are open 24/7 according to their site, but you can never get someone on the phone and are constantly told someone either isn't there or won't be in until noon. By mid afternoon on [redacted] we still hadn't heard from them, so we called again. We were given the same run around about waiting for a call back. My husband then tells [redacted] he isn't happy about the price. It is completely unprofessional to wait until our belongings are loaded at [redacted] to give a final estimate. Especially since we made several attempts to adjust our inventory with [redacted] and find out our options should we be over. We are also told at that point that our belongings are still in [redacted] at their warehouse and they don't even have storage in [redacted] vehemently denies telling my husband this but says he will put us through with a [redacted]. Of course no call back. I continue to call until a finally get a "[redacted]" who refuses to offer her name (I eventually find out it is [redacted] because she leaves it on a voicemail). She could not have been any ruder on the phone, did not care about anything I told her that took place and wouldn't even believe my story let alone try to satisfy the customer, instead told me she needed to check with the foreman and [redacted] to get their stories. She would not knock anything off the price, argued that the time they provide is a guideline and not a guarantee and disputed every complaint. She also could not tell me when my things would be delivered but I could keep calling to find out. I called almost every day over the next week and could still not get a straight answer. They would say they didn't know, they were waiting on a trailer that they didn't know where it was, or tell me it was being loaded that night and when I would call the next day they would say it wasn't. I left more messages for the [redacted] who just refused to call me back. Everyone in the office covers for each other just saying they're not there that day. How can there not ever be a [redacted] on duty? When I looked up the DOT number they provided it came up with an inactive license and that they are unauthorized for hauling freight of any kind. I also noted that the contract we have from the date of pick up stated the foreman was supposed to provide a visual estimate upon coming to our home, and he did not. Because of this and the fact that he tried to coerce my husband, the [redacted] took of $95. That's all they would do for us after all the aggravation and not being able to provide any answers. Our shipment finally arrived on 12/** (after we even had our lawyer call to see if he would have any better luck getting an answer). Off the bat, several of our items were completely damaged. Our bed is totally bent, the couch has beams poking through the back, my daughter's dresses is broken, our entertainment center has dents and missing shelves, bowls and glasses are shattered, and lamps are broken. They are so completely unorganized that they started loading things off the truck that didn't even belong to us. We noticed that two of our items are completely missing. I'm not sure how this happens since for a week straight we were told they were processing all of our items. We are missing my daughter's Radio Flyer tricycle and her baby gate. The men unloaded everything and then when they tried to leave my husband questioned why they were not putting all of our belongings back together, so they assembled everything. I took pictures of the damage and contacted the moving company. Again, it's only [redacted] who answers the phone and never seems to relay messages or know anything about anything. [redacted] told me to send an email to [redacted] who would handle it from there. I sent her an email with the damages and missing items and pictures. She responded quickly saying I will hear from the claims department in 24-48 hours. I wait another 2 weeks and don't hear from the claims department. So I call the movers again and of course no one can offer any answers. [redacted] gives me the direct number to the claims department and tells me they will do a warehouse sweep and he will talk to a [redacted] and get back to me. I don't hear anything. I call again today (12/**) and he still doesn't know for sure anyone checked the warehouse, can't offer an explanation as to what may have happened to my things such as being delivered to somewhere else, and of course no apology. There is no [redacted] I can speak to and if there were he says they would tell me there's nothing they can do anyway. The claims company says I will get back $.60 per the items weight, so if my couch is 200 pounds, I'm only going to see a little over $100 for it, never mind that they damaged an $800 couch. The whole reason I waited this long to hear from the claims people was because [redacted] sent them the wrong email address. She couldn't even copy and paste from our email exchanges, I guess I tell [redacted] I want them to fully replace the items that they lost and he refuses. I wish there were a way I could deter someone for using this company again. They are rude, incompetent, liars and poor at handling business matters.Desired Settlement: At this point, I would be happy with either a refund for the fee I have paid them that was outside the original quote, since nothing above that was discussed, along with refunds for damages to my property, the missing items as well as the hotel I had to pay for for them being 12 hours late or I would like a replacement of the items.

Review: I had a terrible experience with this moving company. They did not show up, after I paid them $292.00 for a deposit. I was supposed to move from New York to San Francisco and the movers decided to do a "no show" on the day of my move. No phone call, no email, no nothing! It took me 3 days to get in touch with a Horizion representative to figure out what was going on. I could never get a straight answer from these people. I called early at 9:00AM to get this situation straightened out. I was told because no one arrived, they would send movers to my location immediately between 11-2pm that day. Again, no one arrived. The receptionist then told me their movers got into an accident, and that they would send a replacement mover. Their replacement mover literally show up to my apartment at 11:30PM at night! What moving company arrives at 11 o clock at night?

To make matters worse, I was initially told the price for my move was going to cost $1100. When the mover finally arrived he decided he didn't want to honor the original move contract and that it would now cost $3000. This is completely unacceptable! It was a bait switch tactic. Quote the customer one price, then charge the desperate customer another price at the last minute. I've requested a refund by Horizion and would like all buyers to be warned about this companies unprofessional behavior.Desired Settlement: Please post on your website information about Horizion. I would like a change in their company policy and a written emailed apology from the owner. Horizion is not a reputable move company and I feel like everyone should be warned!

Sincerely,

Review: Please investigate this company. PLEASE. I only wished I had reviewed the prior complaints about Horizon Relocation Services Inc., before contracting with these crooks. We were promised a pickup date and agreed on a contract price that doubled after the furniture was loaded. Our poor daughter who just graduated from college has been without one stich of furniture for over a month living alone in an apartment after several dates of promised delivery have come and gone. We were quoted a price of $1,100 hundred dollars for the move and once the furniture was loaded we were told we were over the square footage and the bill jumped to $2,300. Numerous calls have gone answered. We were told by the sales person "[redacted]" this my daughters furniture would be delivered. She has repeatedly lied to us.

My wife and I can not even locate a corporate office for this company and the individual screening the calls ([redacted]) will not put you through to anyone that can help. We are already into this mess for $1,500. My wife and I are saddened that these types of companies are allowed to continue to operate without any consequences. We would urge anyone thinking about using Horizon Relocation Services Inc. to think long and hard before hiring them. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Please Revdex.com can you investigate this company as we feel totally at there mercy and we basically got bamboozled out of $1500. I feel we are victims and seek your assistance PLEASE this company is corrupt and needs to be investigated. PLEASE!!!Desired Settlement: All furniture delivered in acceptable condition without being broken or infested with bugs with no further payment due.

Review: This complaint is against a moving company. They originally quoted us $910.91 for 286 cubic square feet of goods. After the company loaded all of our items in the truck, they claimed that we had 800 cubic square feet of goods and attempted to charge us $3000. We did not agree to this price. We spoke to the [redacted], who said that we could pay $2400. We still did not agree to this price and she said she would re-evaluate our goods. We signed a contract stating the we only agreed to pay $1000. We could not reach her for another four days. She then said that she would lower the price to $2300 and that the company would deliver the items in four days. The next morning, I received two missed calls about one minute apart and a voice mail from her stating that she attempted to reach me the day before and that the delivery men were at the house already. This meant that my husband would be forced to pay the remaining balance of our move in cash. My husband rushed to the house to meet the delivery men, who then demanded that we pay another $300 in cash. My husband called the police who reviewed the contract and told the men to unload the items or that they would be taken to prison. The men complied and unloaded the truck. My husband saw that the items in the truck took less than 500 cubic square feet of space, and the delivery men also stated the our items were less than 500 cubic square feet of space. All of our furniture was broken or cracked and many boxes were damaged. The contract that my husband signed upon pickup had been altered stating that our goods were damaged upon pickup. My husband crossed off all of the changes that had been made and signed the contract at delivery as "void void". We also took videos of the men unloading the truck to show the square footage of the goods, and took pictures of all of the damaged items. The company also had changed their name and address to avoid us seeing negative reviews from other consumers.Desired Settlement: We would like a %70 percent refund for our total paid amount of $2,300.00 for lying about the arrival time, forcing us to pay in cash, damaging all of our furniture and many boxes containing our goods, attempting to bully us into paying more money for "waiting times", altering signed contracts, breaching their own contract, and for charging us for 800 cubic square feet when we had less than 500 cubic square feet.

Sincerely,

Review: I hired a moving company for a move from nyc to Colorado. they repeatedly assured me of delivery to my destination within 7 to 10 days. this was both verbal and in writing. I selected this company only bc of their ability to do the move in this timeframe. the movers who picked up and packed my belongings assured me the same, but then told me that the timeframe wasn't possible without payment to them in cash. I reluctantly agreed, as at that point my items were loaded and gone. after a few days I made several attempts to get an update on my estimated delivery, but was constantly ignored. no return calls or emails. ten days after my things were picked up (and with 90 percent prepaid), I received an email stating my things had never left the warehouse and they are having trouble finding a way to get to my location. this came as a surprise, as my location was noted the entire time. I continue to call and email. but no one will return my call. my things are currently being held hostage and I have no way to track them down.Desired Settlement: while I do feel I am entitled to money back and an apology, the only thing I want is my belongings.
