Horn Lake Transmissions Reviews (1)

I'd paid [redacted] and his son Chase, $400.00 to replace my ignition switch. They replaced the switch but caused a service problem with my car.Service Date: March 2, 2016 Problem:March 3, 2016Model: 1999 Chev MalibuOrder:Ignition switch & Cylinder Service Person Worked On My Car: Dewy & Other GuyPayment: $400.00 Cash MoneyOn March 2, 2016 at around 8:55 am,we drove to Thweatt Transmission Service. So when we get there Danny asked what was wrong with my car and what I need service on, so I'd told him, "I need my ignition switch replaced because it feels like it's stuck in the lock position and nothing else and that I have never experience any problems wrong with my car just the ignition switch needed to be replaced, and that I needed the whole kit." "(There's way more to this)" So I'd paid them $400.00. So, While I'm sitting in the office I witness the Craig guy one of Danny's employee's watching youtube video on how to install "Ignition Switch On Chevy Malibu 1997-2003" and minutes later I witness another one of Danny's employee's name Dewy (this the guy installed my new ignition switch) going back forward, from the manual to the car for about two hours(looking confused). He didn't know how to program the key and my car wasn't starting up at all after they was done. So Dewy boost my battery off and my sister and I was about to leave I mention to Dewy they didn't put my wires back. So when I'd left it's now 3:40pm, everything seemed find. Now the next day is when I experienced my battery drained, car has no power. No lights on, everything's off. So I'd called Danny's shop and told them about what I'm experiencing, so Danny comes out two days later boost my car off and immediately blame it on my battery. He didn't check the switch or wires or nothing. Keep in mind what I said, I have never experience a single problem with my car nor with my battery. The problems started happening after they'd replaced my ignition switch and I made that very clear to them, that I wasn't having no kind of problems other than the switch needed replacing. The problem is, when I turn the car off and take the key out of the ignition switch the recirculation light remains on and when I leave the key in the ignition switch the light turns off "or sometimes when you move the key around while it's in the switch (off position) the recirculation light turns off and on, very sensitive" this is what I explained to them and what I'd witness for myself. So after I figured this out about the light, I called Danny and told them about it then I left my key in the ignition and the light remained off and we didn't have no problems with my battery for a whole day. Okay, so the day after that it slipped my mind to leave the key in the ignition that night, and the next morning I went to start my car I didn't hear the door beeping and I saw the recirculation light still on and when I put the key in the switch the lights was on but my battery was drained but not completely, it was slowly dying then. So I called Thweatt Transmission Service again, and told Danny this the problem this is why my battery keep draining, so Danny said I need to bring the car back so they can see what the problem is and again I told them that I figured it out, the re-circulation light is staying on whenever I take the key out and when you tap the ignition switch or move it around while the key is in it, the reciruculation light blinks on and off and that I have to leave the key in the switch so that light can turn off.Like I said I mention this to Danny and he said he's sending a tow truck to get my car. After waiting days, weeks, a month later after calling them over and over (they never answer the phone nor did they call me back, and they was ignoring my number Craig confirmed this to me)for them to come and pick up my car.So when they picked it up, it was Friday 4-1-2016.My car was up there almost 3 weeks Wed, 4-20-16 So they told me don't know how or why the switch is keeping the light on. So instead of them fixing the problem they disconnected all my controls my re-circulation light, fan blower, defrost, etc....Desired Settlement(I ran out of room above!)...Part:CYCLINDER #LCXXXXX & IGNITION SWITCH:CS600Dewy disconnected all my controls that my car needs just to stop the problem they caused so as I'm mentioning this to the Owner Chase and Danny, Danny's being disrespectful towards me called me a B[redacted], in rage, loud, unprofessional.(of course I'm in rage as well and I cursed him back once he called me a B[redacted], cause I'm telling them what I'm now experiencing with my car after they placed the switch in there and now they're blaming the light problem on something else "Chase told me it's my heating element while his father Danny saying it's my battery, so after I got a new battery Danny saying it's some kind of codes. What? They're lying all because they don't know how to fix the problem they started and they are trying to beat me out of more money. At first they said my battery but after my sister took me to Sam's Club to replace my battery(I thought was still under warranty, when it wasn't I had to pay $33.61. I'm explaining to Danny (constantly repeating myself) what I'd witness about the ignition switch and the light, when I wasn't experiencing this at first with my car.So Danny as well as Chase told me to get off of their f[redacted] property and (I forgot to mention they were giving me the run around about my receipt when I kept asking for it).So when I asked Chase to give me my receipt he said f[redacted] your receipt. (As we was exchanging words back and forward) chase called the police and I said good cause I need to report this anyway. So the police officers comes up there I didn't know they was there on the front I was on the back with Dewey and my car, my sister in the office trying to dispute this problem asking Chase for my receipt & to fix my car, now Chase and Danny realized how wrong they were, my sister told me Chase told the police everything's find, it was just a misunderstanding,so I didn't get a report. The receipt they printed out for me weren't the original receipt, Chase had just typed it up and typed(and before that Danny told me my receipt was in last months filing cabinet and that he'll get Chase to find it)some incorrect notes on there stating I denied to have them to correct the problem. They wanted me to pay extra money for the problem they caused and couldn't figure out due to them replacing/hooking up the ignition switch.I called two professionals and got two mechanics from another shop they immediately told me that it's the ignition switch, that it seems like the wires plugged up wrong and or the ignition switch and cylinder not compatible. They also said if a switch is not compatible with the car you will experience system malfunctions with the car.So Dewy unplugged everything in my car except for my cigarette lighter and radio. Now I have to take my car somewhere else, cuz they can't fix it.What I am asking is a full refund in the amount of $400.00 I paid them and for my old ignition switch that was still working (I just need to replace the key at the dealership) and I'm also asking for $33.61 for the damage of my battery they caused. The full refund I'm asking back is because now I have to pay another shop and or dealership all over again with parts and labor (the parts meaning the ignition switch and cylinder switch may very well not be compatible with my car so therefore I will be out of $400.00 again or more.Like I mentioned to them and they witness themselves, their was no kind of issues with my battery or my car.The re-circulation light due to the newly installed ignition switch they provided destroyed my battery. When Dewy entered my car to drive it around the back of the shop it started right on up without any issues. So they can't say that something was wrong with my battery or my re-circulation light or my car. They started up and moved my car two times,my sister and I was right there each times. And each times the car was sitting and again started up with no problems.I recorded every phone conversation I've had with them.
