Last year their snow shoveling service was dependable, but this year not I brought in two more neighbors to their service last year We have had three snow removal days They didn't show up for the last oneThey charged us $extra for the second one and when I asked, they told me we had 8" of snow, which was not true They did not charge either of our neighbors, and when I mentioned this they cancelled service
Our neighbors can attest to the fact that they did NOT get charged extra for snow removal on 12/14/16, and that Yardbarber did not show up on 12/17/The reason they gave for canceling us was, “We Re-regret to inform you that we will no longer be able to provide you with snow serviceThis decision was taken due to the fact we can not come to an agreement on how many inches of snow on 12-15- the amount of payment “ Last year I wrote them a very good review which they have displayed on their *** page I only took it off after they canceled us We were happy to pay $last year when there was a big snowstormTrying to impugn my character is a new low

Yard Barber's response is a total sham and filled with falsehoodsOne, that I will immediately point out is that he stated in his response that he never spoke to me after I agreed to sign up for his serviceWell then, how did I supposedly try to cancel the contract if he never spoke to me again??? I will give you some background as how this nightmare beganMy daughter was going out town on business and asked if I could hire a snow removal contractor for her residence at *** ***, *** NY, as her prior contractor was not doing it anymoreIt was already late in the season and she was worried it was going to snow like previous yearI immediately began calling contractors without much luck, as they were either booked or not servicing her areaI spent or days calling over contractorsI finally called Yard Barber and he agreed to do itHe emailed me a contract pages long (I see he only sent you the last pages and not the first which has his address indicating where the check should be sent)I signed it on 11/and sent it back with a check for $and this was the 1st time I talked to himThe 2nd time I talked to him was on 11/24/15, when he called to cancel the contract saying he just got a big contract with or in the City of *** and wouldn't have time to do itI was not home initially, so he talked to my husband and told him why he had to cancelI then walked in the door and my husband handed me the phoneWhen I complained that I had already sent a check, he stated how lucky I was that he called, as he could of not shown upI told him that I sent the check to his *** office (on contract) and he stated he no longer has that office and the check will be sent back to meI wanted to stop payment on the check but he refused to pay the $After he cancelled on 11/24, I spent the next or days calling contractors again and finally hired one on 11/27/and I paid $400, which is not cheaperOn 12/1, I checked my bank statement online and saw Yard Barber had cashed my checkI called them and left a voice message saying I want my money back because they cancelledHe called 12/(3rd time I talked to him) saying he never cancelled the contract and that he was going to still plowI believe he never got the big contract and was now looking for more business nowI was very upset, as now I have spent $and have contractors plowing one residenceMy husband got on the phone to try to reason with him to no availWhen I ended my conversation with him, I immediately contacted Verizon to obtain my phone logs (pages in total)I spent hours going over them but every time he called his number would come up on my ID as Private CallerOn 12/3, as stated in my original complaint, their office manager left a voice message stating they will refund $and charge me $CANCELLATION FEEShe did not say service charge not that it would make much differenceIn closing, the money was never the issueI feel nobody should be subjected to such malicious manipulation by a company, so I filed a complaint with you to stop this happening to other consumersPS: If needed, I can provide a copy of my bank statement showing when they cashed check and also a copy of the cancelled check, a copy of the new contract showing I had to pay $and the envelope that they used to send the Srefund check, as they still show their return address as being on *** Ave

We received your letter and our response is that we never canceled the customer contract. We never cancel customers contracts. We never spoke to Mrs [redacted] after she agreed to sign up for service again. My thoughts are that Mrs [redacted] found a cheaper service and then tried to say we canceled service...
so she can get her money back. We do not offer refunds but agreed to give her a refund minus a $50 service fee. She also agreed to getting a refund before 1/1/2016 which we did before that date.
