Bureau received from [redacted]. The investigation determine that the patient was triaged/initially evaluated, prior to leaving without being seen, by a registered nurse, and it is standard practice that a minimum be charged for those services provided. The charges incurred by the level one visit was S18S.OO. An amount of $163.73 was deemed non covered by insurance and put to the patient's responsibility. We truly appreciate Ms. [redacted] voicing her concern. We will be reviewing the current proces to ensure these charges are dear to anyone who is triaged in the future, but makes the decisi n to leave prior to being seen by a provider. In the meantime, we will be voiding off the $163.73 from the patients account. I hope this has provided resolution, and shows that Fayette Regional is making the effort to resolve the complaint received.
