In April we had Amazing Contractors replace the shingles and gutters on our home. A couple of days after the work was done we tried using our central air conditioning. It didn't work, so we called a air condition tech out to find out what was wrong. After a thorough inspection of our system he determined that a nail had pierced the high pressure line going from the outside unit to the inside unit. I took a couple of pictures to prove what happed and called Jim at Amazing Contractors and explained what had happened. He came out and took a look and had to admit that's what happened, but then went on to say it wasn't his fault because that pipe was improperly installed. I explained that the pipe was installed almost 50 years ago and has worked just fine. I also pointed out that about 25 years ago the shingles were replaced and the roofer at that time did the job without any damage. I asked [redacted] to just turn it over to his insurance company and let their adjustor determine what's right. He explained to me that his insurance deductible was too high and refused to do that also. [redacted] also questioned the qualification of the AC tech. In my day we had an expression that if you broke it, you bought it. It appears to me that Jim's expression is if you break it, find someone else to blame. I'm writing this to let others know what might happen if you chose to hire Amazing Contractors. It might be best to let your fingers do a little more walking through the yellow pages and find another company. Just a warning to the wise, take it or leave it at your own risk. Having AHC do the work cost me a $1250 AC repair bill.
