ON 11/**/WENT TO ** *** and found a burnt out transformer so the first thing was to replace place the bad one .I RECEIVED A CALL A FEW DAYS LATTER THE UNIT WAS NOT WORKING WENT BACK AND INSTALLED A SWITCH AND NEW TRANSFORMER ON BOTTOM OF UNIT WE DID NOT TAKE ANYTHING AWAY THE CALL I RECIIVED WAS FOR A SPILL SWITCH WHICH FOR FIREPLACE THERE NO SUCH SWITCH ON IT I TRIED CALLING BACK BUT GOT NO RETURN CALL LIKE I SAID WE PERFORMED OUR SERVICE ANY ADDISIONAL PARTS WOULD HAVE JUST BEEN THE COST OF PARTS ONLY NO EXTRA LABOR AND WAS NOT GIVEN THE CHANCE TO COMPLETE JOB

Upon reviewing this responseThis information and status is inaccurate*** *** was contacted on 11/**/16, a few days after leaving repeated messages at Hot ConceptsSee previous days and times logged on initial complaintWe were then contacted on 11/**/16, and were informed an additional deposit was warranted for the valve*** *** did not agree on 11/**/16 to have this service completed. Initial service and misdiagnosis was a transformer replacement which is an inaccurate diagnosis of service. Service was not completed due to fireplace failing to work after an hour that technician was present at the *** residence A technician was present this past Saturday on 12/**/16, and informed the correct diagnosis was the pilot and not the transformer or valveUpon reviewing the Fireplace, the ***'s were informed by the hired technician pieces were removed by the previous technician from Hot ConceptsUpon reviewing this, *** ***, contacted Mike from Hot Concepts at 2:30pm*** *** informed Mike two pieces were removed from residence without permission and needed to be returned

To Your Response, *** *** called for service and said we could not go until after 3pm because her and her husband both workMy men normally stop work by then, but wanted to accommodate themOn Nov *** my technician went there to trouble shoot the unit and found out the transformer was
burnt outIt needed to be replaced, but he did not have one in the truckTransformers are not items we stock on our trucks normallyMy technician wanted to get the unit running, so he came back to the shop to pick one upHe returned to the *** residenceIt was installed and was working fineWe received another call regarding the unitIt was not working, we returned a few day later and it was burnt outMy technician once again, replaced the original transformer which also burnt out when he was there and said we need a valveMy men have spent over two hours on these service callsWe charge an hourly service rate which we deducted due to previ ous complicationsThe charge is only for a 1hour/with traveling service callAfter, it turns to an hourly rate which they were not charged forOn Nov *** my office called and told him how much the valve was and needed a deposit*** was fine with thatWe where going to put it in at a no labor chargeThats the last we heard from themPS Until I received complaint from Revdex.com I called *** and was told a friend was looking at his unit and it did not need my serviceNow they want a refundUnfortunately the service was performed and we spent more time then we should haveWe are NFI (NATIONAL FIREPLACE INSTITUTE) CERTIFIEDWe know what we are doing
